Final Fantasy 14 is no stranger to collaborations. In previous events, they have collaborated with major Final Fantasy entries like Final Fantasy 11, Final Fantasy 15, and Final Fantasy 16, or other Square Enix franchises like Nier: Automata and Dragon Quest. The massively popular MMO has even featured unorthodox crossovers with series outside its genre and publisher, such as Monster Hunter. Now, Fall Guys is joining the ever-growing list.

While it may seem like a confusing choice for a collaboration, the limited-time Fall Guys event brings with it a slew of minigames that fans of the free-to-play platformer battle royale are sure to recognize. The game implements them in a way that feels reminiscent of the battle mechanics that Final Fantasy 14 players will be familiar with. Learn all about how players can participate in these games and the exclusive rewards players can earn below.

The latest iteration of this event runs from May 23, 2024, 1:00 AM PDT until June 10, 2024, 7:59 PM PDT.

How to Unlock the Fall Guys Collaboration Event

To participate in the Fall Guys event, players will need to first unlock the Gold Saucer, an in-game amusement park inspired by its Final Fantasy 7 namesake. Follow these steps to unlock it:

  • Complete one of three level 15 Main Scenario Quests, depending on which city your character started in:
    • "The Gridanian Envoy"
    • "The Ul'dahn Envoy"
    • "The Lominsan Envoy"
  • Unlock the Gold Saucer via the level 15 sidequest "It Could Happen to You" in Ul'dah - Step of Nald (X:10, Y: 9).
  • Accept the level 15 sidequest "Just Crowning Around" in The Gold Saucer (X:5 Y:6).

The event quest will take players to Blunderville Square, the hub for the event. Here, players can participate in the event minigames. They can earn Manderville Gold Saucer Fame (MGF) by speaking to the Blunderville Registrar (X:3, Y:3), or exchange their MGF for event-exclusive items at the MGF Trader (X:4 Y:3).

Players that leave Blunderville Square can re-enter the area by speaking to one of two NPCs in the Gold Saucer. These options are Wy, located at (X:6, Y:7); or the Blunderville Attendant, located at (X:6, Y:6).
