In the Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker expansion, players had a new level cap for both characters and jobs. As players progress towards the new cap of 90, they will need to complete Role quests in order to unlock dyeing.

Role Quests in Endwalker

No matter what type of role players take up in battles, they will have a quest chain for their role groups. After reaching level 85 for any of the jobs in that class set, players will be able to complete the quests for all of the jobs classified under the role group.

How to Start Role Quests

In order to get started, players just need to have a level 85 character with a level 85 job. Players will also have to have completed the FF14 Endwalker main story quest called At World's End. Once both of these prerequisites have been completed, players just have to head to Radz-at-Han and interact with the right NPC. Thankfully, all of these NPCs are all located in the same place: look for the Sundrop room in the Hall of the Radiant Host. This room is located right around x = 7.6, y = 9.7.

  • Melee DPS - Lominsan Delegate (Roegadyn, Male); starting Final Fantasy 14 role quest - Storm Clouds Brewing
  • Physical Ranged DPS - Doman Delegate (Hyur, Male); starting role quest - Seeds of Disquiet
  • Tank - Gridanian Delegate (Hyur, Male); starting role quest - Shrouded in Peril
  • Magical Ranged DPS - Ishgardian Delegate (Elezen, Male); starting role quest - Our Aching Souls
  • Healer - Ala Mhigan Delegate (Hyur, Male); starting role quest - Far from Free

Role Quest Rewards

The number one reward players will want to get from their role quests is the ability to dye their Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker artifact gear. Once a player has finished the role quest for any role group, they will be able to dye the artifact gear for any of the classes in that group. So if a player completed the role quest for a Paladin, they will also unlock artifact gear dyeing for the Warrior, Dark Knight, and Gunbreaker gear as well.
