Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker's Early Access begins in just over a month, which will give players who pre-ordered the expansion pack four days to dive into its exciting content and story before its official launch. Today, the game announced the start date for the newest Moogle Treasure Trove event: October 19th; exactly one month before Early Access begins.

Final Fantasy 14's Moogle Treasure Trove is a recurring event that enables players to collect a special currency by completing old content and then exchange it for exclusive rewards. The event has no set schedule, meaning Square Enix is able to pull it out of the drawer whenever a content drought occurs, such as in the months leading up to a major patch or expansion.

The rewards offered in Moogle Treasure Trove events are usually rare and hard-to-get items, like mounts, minions, and musical orchestrion rolls, which can be played in player houses. However, each of these events usually has at least one special, exclusive item that can only be acquired during the event. This time, that item is the Inferno Jacket–a slick-looking leather jacket with flame patterns and the iconic Final Fantasy summon Ifrit, on the back–which was previously exclusive to Chinese and Korean players, but was unlocked as a global reward through a community event back in July.

The first Moogle Treasure Trove event took place two years ago, during the lull of content immediately leading up to the release of Shadowbringers, Final Fantasy 14's previous, critically-acclaimed expansion. Since then, Square Enix has revived the event multiple times, each with unique rewards for completing different types of content within the game. This is the sixth time the event has been available, and this time, the focus of the dungeons that offer Irregular Tomestones of Lore–the collectible currency for this run of the event–is focusing on the dungeons that act as epic conclusions to the story arcs of the game, meaning players experiencing these battles for the first time will have no trouble finding a group.

This is one of the final events Final Fantasy 14 players have to look forward to before the imminent release of Endwalker. Irregular Tomestones of Lore will be available to collect until the official release of Endwalker, so players will have just over a month to collect the rewards offered by the event. Players can exchange their tomestones for rewards until well after the expansion's release, so they won't have to worry about losing thier work until Patch 6.1 sometime early next year.

In addition to this event, Final Fantasy 14 fans will get a sneak peek at the changes coming to its playable jobs in Endwalker via the influencers invited to the Media Tour, who are allowed to share their experiences starting tomorrow, October 13th. With one more "Live Letter from the Producer" scheduled two weeks before Early Access begins, Warriors of Light are over the moon with things to do before the expansion pack’s official launch.

Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker releases on November 23 for PC, PS4, and PS5.
