Final Fantasy 14 is holding another big sale on Steam, with the entire critically-acclaimed MMORPG up to Endwalker currently 60% off. Fans looking to get into Endwalker before Dawntrail launches can pick up the expansion for cheap to make sure they are prepared for the new Final Fantasy 14 release.

Dawntrail officially comes to Final Fantasy 14 on July 2, though it enters early access on June 28 – exactly one month from press time. To get players ready for the expansion, Final Fantasy 14 has been holding a number of sales to allow fans to catch up with the story before Dawntrail drops.

One Final Fantasy 14 Collaboration Seems Inevitable, But May Take a Few Years

Though Final Fantasy 14 has collaborated with other games such as Fall Guys, one potential collaboration is obvious, yet still years away.

Now, Final Fantasy 14 is holding yet another big sale before the next expansion. From now through June 3, players can get the Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker Standard or Collector’s Edition on Steam at a 60% discount. The Complete Edition, which includes both Endwalker and the base game, is also on sale, making it only $4 more than the Starter Edition, not included in this sale.

Final Fantasy 14 Pre-Dawntrail Steam Sale

  • Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker – Standard Edition: $15.99
  • Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker – Collector’s Edition: $23.99
  • Final Fantasy 14 Online – Complete Edition: $23.99

As a note, once players buy Final Fantasy 14 on Steam, they will be required to purchase all other future FF14 content via the gaming platform as well. Because it is available on several different platforms and consoles, it is highly advised that fans choose where they wish to purchase Final Fantasy 14 from carefully, and stick with it from that point onward.

While this huge sale is a great boon, players may want to think carefully before purchasing Endwalker on its own. When Dawntrail officially launches on July 2, Endwalker and all previous content will be folded into the base Final Fantasy 14 Starter Edition. This means purchasing Endwalker or the Complete Edition is only necessary if fans want to get into the expansion's story, create a male Viera, or play the Sage or Reaper jobs in Final Fantasy 14, before Dawntrail comes out – or if they are looking to pick up the special Collector’s Edition in-game items.

For brand-new players, the free trial of Final Fantasy 14 includes all of A Realm Reborn, as well as the Heavensward and Stormblood expansions. With hundreds of hours of content available for free, and no restrictions on playtime, sprouts just starting out might not need to pick up these discounted products quite yet. As for returning fans, Final Fantasy 14’s new Free Login Campaign can give them the chance to return to Eorzea for four days before deciding to renew their subscription.
