Final Fantasy 14 just began the Callback Campaign, a special offer where players with expired subscriptions can return to the critically-acclaimed MMORPG for free. Players can benefit from this limited-time Final Fantasy 14 campaign from now through December 14.

The Callback Campaign is an event where current players can invite friends with lapsed subscriptions to come back for free for a limited time. This recurring event first debuted at the end of 2017, but Final Fantasy 14 brought the Callback Campaign again in 2020 and 2022.

Final Fantasy 14 Players Aren't Happy With Patch 6.51 Content

Following the release of Patch 6.51, Final Fantasy 14 players take to social media to voice their issues and complaints with some of the new content.

Now, the Final Fantasy 14 Callback Campaign has returned for a fourth time. From now until December 14, active players can invite their friends who have not had an active subscription to Final Fantasy 14 for at least 90 days to come back to the game for free. If they accept the offer, they receive 14 days of game time, as well as some handy items to get them going. The player who invites them also receives five Gold Chocobo Feathers, which can be redeemed for special rewards.

How To Participate in the FF14 Callback Campaign

  • Have a friend with an active Final Fantasy 14 subscription send an invite via the in-game subcommand through the friends list.
  • Accept the offer sent via email by selecting “Redeem Your Rewards" on the invitation.
  • Log in to start the 14 days of free play, and to collect the 99 Aetheryte tickets and 10 Silver Chocobo Feathers from the in-game mailbox.

The Gold and Silver Chocobo Feathers are the same currencies offered through Final Fantasy 14’s Recruit a Friend program. Gold Chocobo Feathers are exchanged for special mounts and dyes, while their Silver counterparts can buy powerful leveling gear. Both are exchanged at the Calamity Salvager NPCs in each major starting city in Final Fantasy 14.

Players who benefited from this campaign previously, or invited players in the past, will not receive the in-game rewards again, even if they can still get the free play time itself. Additionally, players on the free trial of Final Fantasy 14 are not eligible, as they already have unlimited playtime all the way through the Stormblood expansion.

There are plenty of reasons for players to check out Final Fantasy 14 right now. Patch 6.51 just dropped, giving players access to the Aloalo Island Variant Dungeon and Fall Guys crossover event on top of the finale of the post-Endwalker Void arc. With Patch 6.55 early next year leading into Dawntrail in the summer, players thinking about coming back to Eorzea should capitalize on this opportunity while they can.
