The release of the 6.2 patch for Final Fantasy 14 saw many new features being added to the massively multiplayer online game (MMO), including brand new crafted Fae's Crown weapons that can be purchased on the market board. In Final Fantasy 14, while there is additional crafted gear that can be created and bought using the in-game currency called Gil, the Fae's Crown weapon set is arguably the most popular.

This new weapon set is based on the beautiful Titania, meaning each design delicately features her iconic butterfly wings, creating a fairy-like style for any glam set. While the King's Weapon set was already in the game as a loot drop from clearing The Dancing Plague (Extreme), the Fae's Crown weapons glow wonderfully alongside small butterflies that fly around the weapon.

12 Dragoon: The Fae's Crown Spear

the dragoon weapon from the fae's crown set

It’s no surprise that the Dragoon’s version of the Fae’s Crown weapon is a little edgier than the rest. When sheathed, the body of the weapon is mostly black, with the butterfly pattern appearing as an amber shade rather than the Titania blue shade.

The butterflies, sparkles, and overall shine stay around the top of the weapon where the spear is, while the handle remains black. What’s different about this weapon though, is the fact that the white butterfly wings fold downwards over the weapon instead of spreading out like an actual butterfly.

11 Machinist: The Fae's Crown Handgonne

the machinist weapon from the fae's crown set

Fans of the game may not think of butterfly wings when they first think of the Machinist job, but the game developers have done a great job at retaining the aesthetic of the role, as well as sprinkling it with Titania’s essence.

The gun used for the Fae’s Crown weapon is quite big compared to other options for those who play Machinist, with the majority of the gun being covered by the blue Titania wings. The glowing details seem to stay around the barrel of the gun rather than the handle.

10 Ninja: The Fae's Crown Cleavers

the ninja weapon from the fae's crown set

While the Ninja weapons are pretty small in FF14, the designers had no trouble making some utterly beautiful daggers. While sheathed, they appear as folded butterfly wings with small handles, but once they are unsheathed they get a whole new look.

Similarly to the Dancer weapon, the dual daggers both receive the white butterfly wings, but this time they remain closed rather than open. The small surface area of the daggers allows the glow to shine even more brightly, accompanied by the usual butterflies and sparkles.

9 Monk: The Fae's Crown Claws

the monk weapon from the fae's crown set

The Fae’s Crown weapon for the Monk role is a delightful change of pace compared to the overall aesthetic of the class. The bottom of the dual weapons look like delicate metal claws, adorned with small blue butterfly wings on top. Once unsheathed, the butterfly wings cover the player's hands as the white outlines spread out.

Similarly to the Dancer weapon and Ninja weapon, the glow appears to be a lot stronger for all dual-wielding roles, with the sparkles and popping bubbles being a lot more concentrated in the center of the weapon.

8 Black Mage: The Fae's Crown Rod

the black mage weapon from the fae's crown set

The Black Mage weapon takes a slightly different spin with the top of the staff featuring the butterfly wings but in the shape of some sort of pinwheel. The white outline is still seen on the design, but they seem to be less refined than the other caster weapons.

The weapon still features the same popping bubbles, sparkling glow, and adorable butterflies that float around the top. The blue butterfly wings almost look as if they’re a wilting flower, which makes this an aesthetic choice for those who love the edginess of the Black Mage role.

7 Samurai: The Fae's Crown Katana

the samurai weapon from the fae's crown set

While the Samurai Fae’s Crown weapon looks quite simple when sheathed, with the only similarity to Titania being the small butterfly wing pattern at the bottom of the katana. Once unsheathed, the weapon comes to life, with the blade featuring the glittering night sky animation.

The white butterfly wings appear towards the top of the handle where the player holds the katana. The sparkles and butterflies stretch up to the top of the blade, while the overall glow stays around the base of the weapon.

6 Red Mage: The Fae's Crown Rapier

the red mage weapon from the fae's crown set

The Red Mage weapon is equally as gorgeous as the one above, with the white butterfly outline now appearing around both parts of the weapon. Both sections feature the same glittering blue shades, accompanied by the floating butterflies and popping bubbles that now flow around each section of the Red Mage weapon.

The rainbow sun glare is also seen shining on both parts, joined by the twinkling sparkles. The top part of the weapon looks like a floating butterfly beside the player, making this a truly magnificent design for fans of the caster role.

5 Dark Knight: The Fae's Crown Guillotine

the dark knight weapon from the fae's crown set

Similar to the Dragoon role, the Dark Knight tank class is pretty edgy. While the Fae’s Crown weapon may not be the most popular choice for those players who are aiming for a more dark aesthetic when it comes to their Dark Knight glam, this weapon is a welcome change. While sheathed, the sword has a nature theme, with green shades blending into the blue butterfly wings, and two leaves found towards the handle.

Once unsheathed, the mighty white butterfly wings spread out, with the top almost reaching the handle of the sword. The sparkles and overall glow is quite impressive with this weapon, and will surely be a fan favorite for those who don’t stick to the edge Dark Knight theming.

4 Gunbreaker: The Fae's Crown Manatrigger

the gunbreaker weapon from the fae's crown set

The Fae’s Crown Gunbreaker weapon is arguably better than the Machinist weapon, with a much more delicate design. The overall gun blade is quite large while featuring many small details found throughout the weapon, from the blue butterfly wings adorning the bottom and top and the beautifully shaped metal sections along the gun blade.

Once unsheathed, the large white butterfly wings appear but stay folded. Each blue section found on the weapon glitters alongside the sparkles and butterflies that stretch across the whole gun blade. The overall shine remains at the bottom of the weapon towards the blade.

3 Summoner: The Fae's Crown Grimoire

the summoner weapon from the fae's crown set

The Summoner weapon for Fae's Crown sees the book shaped like blue butterfly wings, retaining the blue shades that are found on Titania. As the book opens there is a white outline of butterfly wings that spread across the back of the book, as butterflies fly around the outside.

The glowing effect for the Fae’s Crown weapons is easily one of the prettiest in the game, with a rainbow-like sun glare that shines, accompanied by sparkles and bubbles that pop. The glitter on the outside blue sections always shimmers as it moves across the span of the book, resembling a star-filled night sky.

2 Bard: The Fae's Crown Longbow

the bard weapon from the fae's crown set

The Bard weapon is truly beautiful, with the white outline appearing as if the bow has a second pair of wings. The overall shape of the weapon is great as it looks like a butterfly that has its wings closed while featuring delicate details along the metal sections and the addition of small flowers where the arrows are held.

The same glowy features are found on this weapon, but the size of the bow amplifies all of the gorgeous details that are included within all of the Fae’s Crown weapons that are included in the set.

1 Dancer: The Fae's Crown Tathlums

the dancer weapon from the fae's crown set

The Dancer's job is already a beautiful role, with each move resembling a dance and the weapons moved with precision and form. The Fae’s Crown weapon for Dancer will make pretty glam sets even better now. While sheathed, the butterfly wings are found on the outside of the rings, featuring Titania’s iconic blue shade and a hint of yellow.

Once they are unsheathed, the white butterfly wings appear out of both weapons as they shine and sparkle brightly. It’s important to note that each time a player unsheathes the Fae’s Crown weapons, the glowing color slightly changes. For some reason, it’s even easier to see this small feature on the Dancer weapon, mainly due to the fact that the shine is so large compared to the overall size of the weapons.

Final Fantasy 14 is currently available on PC, macOS, PS4, and PS5.
