Final Fantasy 14 is one of the most popular Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOs) across the gaming industry. As usual in the genre, there are a ton of activities to do in FF14, whether they are daily tasks or larger goals such as clearing the high-difficulty raids or leveling crafters and gatherers.

One of the most important aspects of Final Fantasy 14 is the main story quest (MSQ), and once players reach the end of that, there is still plenty to do throughout the game. Many fans of the game enjoy logging in every day to complete their daily tasks, which can vary from person to person depending on what their goals are for the game at that moment.

8 Daily Roulette

The most obvious daily task is the daily roulette that is available every day. The roulette cover duties such as trials, dungeons, alliance raids, and normal raids. Once players reach the maximum level, they will also unlock expert roulette, which contains the most recent maximum level duties.

Participating in any of these daily roulettes gives players an increased amount of experience points (EXP) for the job they played during the duty, making it an incredibly efficient way to level up. Daily roulettes also reward players with a generous amount of Gil, just one of the many ways to farm the currency.

7 Beast Tribe Quests

In Final Fantasy 14, there are a set of quests included in each expansion called the Beast Tribe Quests. These are daily quests that can be done to work towards earning a variety of special rewards ranging from mounts to minions. These quests can be pretty simple and easy to do but should be done daily to maximize efficiency if players want to get the rewards as soon as possible.

It's important to remember that this will take time and won't be completed in one sitting. Each time a player completes a quest for a tribe, they will receive reputation points that increase their overall reputation with said tribe.

6 Mini Cactpot

Final Fantasy 14 has the amazing Golden Saucer that is jam-packed full of mini-games, including the famous Triple Triad card game that provides players with tons of fun and Manderville Gold Saucer Points (MGP). MGP is sought-after due to the great rewards that players can obtain through farming plenty of MGP. These rewards range from minions, mounts, clothing, and other exclusive items.

The mini cactpot is a quickfire activity that can be done daily a total of 3 times. Players randomly select spaces in hopes that they will choose the ones that garner them the most MGP at the end. If players don't feel like taking part in the variety of mini-games at the Golden Saucer, this is one of the quickest and easiest ways to earn MGP daily alongside the weekly Fashion Report.

5 Retainer Activities

Retainers in Final Fantasy 14 are incredibly handy for players and can be a great way to work towards earning quite a bit of Gil. Firstly, retainers can be sent on ventures as they level up, which results in them bringing back items that range from common to extremely rare. These items can either be kept or sold on the market board for a ton of Gil, especially the rare items like the adorable Chewy dog minion that retainers bring back due to the small chance of obtaining this item in the first place.

As the retainer levels up, they can undertake higher-level ventures, and the higher the level of their mission, the better the rewards. It's also important that players check their retainer every day to keep up with the items that they are selling on the market board and whether they need to increase or decrease the selling price of said item.

4 Gardening Tasks

Final Fantasy 14 allows players to purchase a garden for their home plot. This means players can plant, water, fertilize, and harvest their products over a span of a few days. Players must keep on top of watering and fertilizing their plants daily.

If the garden is part of a shared plot or a Free Company plot, then the responsibility for the tasks can be shared amongst multiple players to ensure that the plants stay healthy and produce a good harvest. The plants that are then harvested can either be of great use to the player or can be sold on the market board for other players to purchase, especially the items that can be used for a player's Chocobo.

3 Challenge Log

The challenge log gets reset every single week, with some challenges being able to complete in one sitting or those that require players to come back daily to work through. Some of the easiest challenges by far are the commendation challenge and dungeon challenges, which can easily be completed during the daily roulettes.

There are also challenges focused on spending time in the Golden Saucer that reward players with weekly MGP, as well as other challenges that provide players with a reward of Gil, just one of the many ways to farm the currency. The challenges that reward players with a bounty of experience points (EXP) are the most popular to do first, as this makes it an extremely efficient way to work towards leveling up jobs like the popular Warrior, part of the tank class.

2 Diadem

Some players spend a lot of time leveling up their crafters and gatherers, and for good reason. These jobs produce a large amount of Gil when leveled high enough and can be helpful to have within a Free Company. The Diadem is an efficient way to level a gatherer job quickly, as well as Leve Quests. Players who want a more relaxing experience while they watch a TV show in the background or unwind with some music on will enjoy the slow-paced nature of spending time in the Diadem.

A mob-free and safe area, the Diadem consists of flying around to find nodes that provide players with job-specific items. As time goes on, players will gain a ton of EXP through this, as long as they use their level-specific Manuals and food buffs. The Diadem also supplies players with a ton of materials that can then be used while leveling their own crafter jobs or can be sold for a decent price on the market board.

1 Wondrous Tails Journal

Final Fantasy 14 Wondrous Tails Khloe

This handy little journal is a fantastic way to earn a ton of EXP in a short amount of time. These journals come with a deadline, however, so players must make sure they complete them before it runs out; otherwise, they won't get any of the rewards. The journal consists of a range of duties that the player must take part in, and some are easy enough to complete solo if the player is at a high enough level.

Players must complete nine of these duties before handing in the journal for a reward of EXP, Tomes, and other items. The duties that players must participate in span across the expansions and can range from level 1 duties to level 90, including trials, dungeons, and raids.

Final Fantasy 14 is out now on PC, PS4, and PS5.
