After a decade of dominance, Juventus fans find themselves at a bit of crossroads, with the club having struggled to compete in recent seasons. That's not to say that they don't still have plenty of talent among their ranks, however, with the likes of Chiesa, Pogba, and Vlahović all providing plenty of reasons for players to choose Juventus in FIFA 23.
Talent alone is not enough to guarantee success though, as current Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri will know all too well. In order to get the best out of this Juventus side, both he and FIFA 23 players will need to find the best formation to use in matches, not to mention the best starting 11.
The Best Formation for Juventus in FIFA 23
Much like with Bayern Munich, finding the best setup for Juventus in FIFA 23 is more about rearranging the spokes than it is reinventing the wheel. Given the strengths and weaknesses of the squad, the default 4-3-3 Holding formation is arguably the best option when it comes to setup, though players will need to do quite a bit of tweaking in order to find the best starting 11 to go with it.
The Best Starting 11 for Juventus in FIFA 23
Thankfully, the number nine position is pretty straightforward, with Vlahović being the obvious choice. Likewise, Di Maria is the best right winger at the club, but things get a little more complicated over on the opposite flank. Though Kostić is rated a little higher, players would be foolish not to start Federico Chiesa in the left wing berth, forcing players to move Kostić to the left of the midfield three beside Paul Pogba and just ahead of Locatelli.
At the back, Szczęsny gets the nod ahead of Perin, while Bonucci and Bremer make for a pretty solid center back pairing just in front of him. To their right, former Chelsea man Cuadrado brings a healthy dose of pace and power to the right full-back position and offers a huge improvement over Danilo. Rounding out the starting 11 is Alex Sandro, who, despite his modest rating, is the best left back at the club in FIFA 23.
Tactics and Instructions
A balanced defensive style and balanced build-up play generally work best for Juventus. Due to the strength of their midfielders, they're also well-suited for possession-based chance creation. However, given the pace of Chiesa down the left and Cuadrado down the right, creating chances with forward runs is a solid option providing players are able to time their forward passes and through balls correctly.
As the pair are right and left-footed respectively, having Chiesa and Di Maria cut inside is a bit of a no-brainer. While they're at it, players should also have Chiesa come back to help out Sandro and get in behind while making support runs. Pogba should be instructed to get forward during attacks and Kostic to drift out wide, which should help to create some additional space for Chiesa to exploit. Finally, players should set have both full-backs join the attack and overlap the wide players whenever they do.
