The German Bundesliga is considered to be one of the best soccer leagues in the world. It may not be as star-studded and competitive as, for example, the English Premier League, but it remains a very popular league for FIFA 21 players to build their FUT teams around.

Although it's dominated by Bayern Munich, who have won the German championship a mind-boggling nine times in a row, other teams from this league also hold some serious talent. Bundesliga-focused players should have a wide array of footballers to choose from and create a team that will be competitive in both Division Rivals and the Weekend League.

Goalkeeper

Neuer Warming Up and Hradecky in Action

Best Choice: Manuel Neuer. A true legend between the goalposts, Manuel Neuer is a player who popularized the sweeper-keeper style of goalkeeping. With an 89 overall rating, Bayern's star is the best goalkeeper in the German league.

Budget Alternative: Lukas Hradecky. Although he has a Slavic-sounding name, Lukas Hradecky is actually from Finland and he's one of the best Finnish keepers to have graced the game. His 85-rated diving and a reflexes rating of 87 will make sure that Hradecky stands a chance even against the best forwards.

Right Back

Mukiele with Ball and Bender Celebrating

Best Choice: Nordi Mukiele. RB Leipzig's players are starting to get recognized abroad for their talent. While Mukiele hasn't secured a big-money move to a stronger side just yet, his pace and physicality suggest that he's a world-class wide defender in the making.

Budget Alternative: Lars Bender. Although his price tag is the same as Mukiele's (1,500-1,700 coins) and his overall rating is actually higher at 82, Bender is much slower and less skilled with the ball at his feet, which can be easily exploited by rivals. He's still a good player, but rather as a solid substitute than a member of the starting lineup.

Center Backs

Alaba Hummels Klostermann and Hernandez Right Backs

Best Choices: David Alaba and Mats Hummels. Alaba and Hummels are established brands in the Bundesliga. Having devoted the majority of their careers to plying their trade in Germany's top division, they are arguably the best central defenders in the country. Players opting for Mats Hummels should keep in mind that he is best utilized in a formation with three center backs, due to his low pace rating.

Budget Alternatives: Lukas Klostermann and Lucas Hernandez. The RB Leipzig defender and Bayern's substitute for Alaba are definitely worth their price tags (around 5,000 coins per player) and are more than capable of running after some of the fastest forwards, with 84 and 77 pace ratings, respectively.

Left Back

Alphonso Davies and Nico Schultz Running with a Ball

Best Choice: Alphonso Davies. The Canadian player might as well be a wide midfielder, with his whopping 96-rated pace and 82 dribbling. A 5,000-coin price tag is a steal for Bayern's up-and-coming superstar.

Budget Alternative: Nico Schulz. The 80-rated Borussia Dortmund player may not be as fast as Alphonso Davies but is still a rather speedy man, with a pace stat of 87. With 73 defending and 75 physicality, he can also easily stop most forwards in their tracks.

Right Midfielder

Jadon Sancho and Bellarabi on the field

Best Choice: Jadon Sancho. Much like in the real world, Jadon Sancho is one of the most sought-after players in FIFA 21. With a 91 dribbling rating and 83-rated pace, he can single-handedly drive the ball from the middle of the field all the way to the opponent's penalty area.

Budget Alternative: Karim Bellarabi. While the difference in overall ratings may seem rather large (Bellarabi's 82 compared to Sancho's 87), the two players are not all that different, and the Leverkusen winger is even faster than the English youngster, with a pace rating of 90.

Center Midfielders

Bundesliga Midfielders Kimmich Goretzka Can and Sabitzer

Best Choices: Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka. Jose Mourinho once called Joshua Kimmich one of the best players in the world, and the 88-rated midfielder definitely lives up to this accolade. His Bayern teammate, Leon Goretzka may not be as expensive or popular as his counterpart, but when this pair comes together, they can boss around the midfield with relative ease.

Budget Alternatives: Emre Can and Marcel Sabitzer. Emre Can has played in so many top clubs throughout his career, that it's easy to forget that he's only 27 years old! While he's not the fastest, or greatest at dribbling, his strength and passing attributes make him a good alternative for players who prefer a more defensive approach. Marcel Sabitzer is also the perfect counterweight to Can's rather static brand of defending, with his pace and dribbling stats breaking the 80-point mark.

Left Midfielder

Leroy Sane and Thorgan Hazard Midfielders

Best Choice: Leroy Sane. The ex-Manchester City star has left England for Bayern Munich with something to prove. After a year-long injury, many doubted Sane's ability to get back in form. In FIFA, he's retained his pace rating of 93 and a great, 85 dribbling stat. Players will not find a better left winger than Sane in the Bundesliga, especially in his price range.

Budget Alternative: Thorgan Hazard. Eden's younger brother has solidified his position in Borussia Dortmund's starting line-up in recent years. With 85-rated dribbling and an 81 passing rating, he's one of the best options for players who like their wingers to sprint down the side of the field and supply their team with crosses into the penalty box.

Strikers

Bundesliga Strikers Lewandowski and Hwang Hee Chan

Best Choice: Robert Lewandowski. The Polish superstar needs no introduction. Having won everything there is to win with Bayern in the 2019/20 season, Lewandowski's goalscoring prowess has led many pundits to consider him the best player in the world right now, and his 91 overall rating in FIFA 21 definitely supports that claim.

Budget Alternative: Hwang Hee Chan. The wider audience may not be too familiar with this South Korean striker, but he has broken into RB Leipzig's first team in 2020 and it doesn't seem like he's going to relinquish the spot anytime soon. His 93 pace rating and 79 dribbling are bound to be a source of trouble for even the best of defenders.
