FIFA 20's new squad building challenge gives players the opportunity to improve their team's skill level and expand their roster.

Every year, publisher EA Sports hosts a weekly release event for players to purchase new player cards from the year's top teams. This year, EA is changing up the game by introducing the option for players to vote on their favorite fan-created teams for FIFA 20. Even with everything being up in the air because of the coronavirus, FIFA fans will still be able to receive a premium gold players pack by creating a team of gold players.

The SBC Challenge itself isn't extremely difficult. The event requires a minimum of 2 players from Serie A and Ligue 1, a max of 3 players from the same club, a minimum of 3 rare players, and a min team chemistry rating of 80, totaling to about nine players on the team.

If players are worried about the in-game cost of completing this event, they will be relieved to find out that that this event should not be as expensive as ones from the past. Instead of shelling out about two hundred thousand coins, it should only set around six thousand coins since packs are now at a discounted price.

Sadly enough, this discount can only be used once, so players will not be able to hoard dozens of Gold Players for a lower price. However, it is great to see that FIFA is still trying to keep its community engaged through these difficult times. It'll be interesting to see what other changes EA will have to make to future games regarding everything that is going on. FIFA 20 already made enormous strides for the series by including a new VOLTA Football mode that is resemblant of smaller futsal games, similar to the FIFA Street series.

FIFA 20 provided a way for soccer fans to enjoy their favorite sport even when games weren't being played due to the coronavirus. The FIFA series is very popular in the esports community and is one of the best selling video game franchises of all time with around 282.4 million copies sold that reflects yearly real-world changes to soccer league line ups.

FIFA 20 is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
