The Thresher Waterwheel is a Cache Location in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth that is situated just east of Kalm. Upon arriving at this location, players will discover that it is home to two treasures, though they may have some trouble finding them. For those players that are struggling to locate the two chests at the Thresher Waterwheel in Final Fantasy 7 Rebrith, this guide details their precise positions and clarifies the items that are held within them.

FF7 Rebirth: Thresher Waterwheel Chest Locations

The easiest way to show the locations of the two chests at the Thresher Waterwheel is to provide a map and images. Final Fantasy fans can find those visuals below, and there is a video at the top of this guide that may also prove to be quite helpful.

Building pressure and staggering enemies can save players a lot of time in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

With respect to what players will find inside the Thresher Waterwheel chests, one of them contains a Mist Potion, while the other holds a Hi-Potion. For the uninitiated, Mist Potions restore 350 HP to all allies when consumed, and fans are sure to find a good use for the one that they pull from the Thresher Waterwheel chest as they continue to explore the Grasslands in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Players may also be happy to get their hands on the location's Hi-Potion, as it restores 700 HP to a single target.

While players should now find it quite easy to locate the chests at the Thresher Waterwheel, they may not want to use FF7 Rebirth's fast travel feature to leave the area immediately upon opening them. Indeed, there is another Cache Location just a few steps to the east of the waterwheel, and there are three treasures to be found there. Specifically, that Cache Location is the Grassy Viaduct, and its chests hold three Potions, an Emerald, and three Plumes of Phoenix Down. Those items are almost certainly more exciting than those that can be extracted from the Thresher Waterwheel, and it is worth taking a moment to collect them.

To note, the Thresher Waterwheel and Grassy Viaduct are definitely not the only Cache Locations in the game, and there are a total of 49 of them scattered across Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's open world. While there are no trophies associated with finding all the chests at those locations, doing so is a requirement for reaching 100% completion of the Play Log, a feature that becomes accessible after beating the main story. There are also some useful items at the Cache Locations outside the Grasslands.
