Quick Links
Final Fantasy 7 was the first game to introduce the concept of Limit Breaks, and Rebirth allows players to use a variety of them to deal quite a significant amount of damage.
Unlike some of the other mechanics in the game, Limit Breaks will be available by default for the characters. They can be considered Ultimate attacks, which take a while to charge up and can be used to deal tons of damage at once. Players will be able to see their Limit meter fill up right beside their ATB charge bar and it is yellow in color. Once the bar is all filled up, players will be able to use their Limit Break.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Best Materia Combinations For The Early-Game
Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has a deep Materia system, and these are the best combos for the early parts of the JRPG.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: How to Use Limit Breaks
To use it, players simply open up the action menu and head to the Limit tab. A list of available Limit Breaks can be seen there, and players can choose the one they want to use. To charge up the Limit Break bar faster, all players need to do is keep attacking nearby enemies. It takes a while, but eventually, it will start glowing and that's when it's time to unleash the attack.
How to Unlock All Limit Breaks
Limit Breaks can be a bit tricky to understand at first, considering that there are several aspects to using them. There are three levels to Limit Breaks, and level 1 is unlocked by default. To get to level 2, the player will need to use Synergy Abilities in battle. While using Synergy Abilities can take them to level 3 as well, there is a catch. For level 3, players will need to unlock the level 3 Limit Break first. For that, the requirement is to reach level 9 and max out the particular character's Folio. Here are all the Limit Breaks available in the game.
