Synergy Materia won't be available to buyers until Chapter 8, when Cloud and his friends travel to the Cosmo Canyon Region. Like other areas in the game, the Cosmo Canyon Region has its secrets, and exploring them will land players exploration points. After gaining 80 points, they should go to Chadley's location. He can be found near the Chocobo Ranch and inside the Cosmo Canyon Village. Talk to him and select Develop Materia. Under the Cosmo Region, players will find Synergy Materia being sold for 80 Intel points.

How To Use Synergy Materia In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Synergy Materia has just a single star, which means that its rank cannot be increased. Despite that, it is easily among the strongest Materia in the series. This is one of the main reasons why players can only get one from Chadley. The Synergy Materia activates when the team leader uses an ATB ability in combat. So, it can increase the damage output significantly. For example, if you put the Synergy Materia on Aerith and then equip the Cosmet Materia next to it, whenever Cloud uses an ability, say Prime Mode, Aerith will use Comet on the same enemy. The best thing is that Aerith won't use up any of the ATB bars or MP.

After purchasing the Synergy Materia, players need to pause the game and go to Equipment & Materia. Here, choose any party member that you want to have this Materia. After equipping the Synergy Materia, make sure that you have linked a Materia next to it.
