The Hardest Sell is one of five side quests that players can tackle on their first visit to the Junon Region in Chapter 4 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Unfortunately, however, they won't have access to it right away, as the person who hands out the quest resides in a gated community that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players are unable to enter at first.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: All Junon Region Side Quests (& How to Complete Them)

There are five side quests in Chapter 4 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, each of which requires players to travel to a different part of the Junon Region.

After unlocking the Crow's Nest, though, players will be able to start The Hardest Sell by speaking with a guy named Toby. Toby asks the player to check out an old lighthouse to the south of the settlement, where a mysterious outsider who calls themselves the Merc of Junon has apparently decided to set up shop.

How to Complete The Hardest Sell Side Quest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Players can trigger The Hardest Sell by speaking with Toby in The Crow's Nest once they've completed the When Words Won't Do side quest. After doing so, they'll want to follow the quest marker to the old lighthouse as instructed and then climb up the metal steps to their right. If they then explore this structure a little, they'll eventually run into a familiar face.

As was the case with the Lifeline in Peril side quest, the mysterious merc is none other than Kyrie: who served as one of the supporting characters in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Unfortunately, her annoying music draws the attention of some of the local fiends, who suddenly descend upon the lighthouse. Just like last time, it's up to Cloud and the rest of the party to step in and save the day.

First, players will need to defeat a bunch of Flans. Flans are weak against Fire and resistant to physical attacks, so players should focus on using fire magic to take them down. Next, a couple of White Mousses show up. Like the Flans, White Mousses are strong against physical attacks. They have no major weaknesses though, so players can just hit them with whatever spells they have at their disposal. It will take a while, but they'll go down eventually.

Kyrie will leave after players have defeated the White Mousses, but not before handing over some custom Chocobo gear that she designed herself. Players will receive the Merc Cap, Merc Overalls, and Merc Legwraps for their feathered friend Belle to wear. Toby will then show up and the quest will end, rewarding players with 10 Party EXP, 500 EXP, and an improved relationship with Red XIII.
