When it comes to mini-games, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth takes things to a whole new level, with scores of side activities available throughout the game. One such FF7 Rebirth mini-game is called Run Wild, which first becomes available during Chapter 6 when players are exploring Costa del Sol as Aerith and Tifa.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: How to Get the Alexander Summoning Materia (& How to Upgrade It)

Players can get Alexander in Chapter 6 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, though they'll need to wait until Chapter 9 before they can fully upgrade it.

Doing well enough to unlock the Companion Card for Aerith is relatively easy, but there are other prizes available for those who excel at the game. Achieving Rank 3 in Run Wild will reward Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players with Red XIII's Silver Collar, so finishing in first place should be pretty high on most people's to-do lists.

How to Play Run Wild: Free-for-All

Run Wild is a little bit like soccer, with players tasked with knocking a giant ball into a goal net. Where it differs is that there are four teams rather than two, each with only one or two players. Also, rather than a team's score going up when they put the ball in the back of somebody else's net, each team starts with five points and will lose one each time they concede. A match lasts three minutes, with two balls in play for the final two. In order to unlock Red's Silver Collar, players will need to finish in outright first place, meaning that a tie just isn't going to cut it.

Players will unlock Run Wild: Time Trial as part of the Rendezvous in Costa del Sol side quest. However, they won't be able to unlock the Silver Collar for Red XIII in this mode, with the Rank 3 prize instead being a pair of Platinum Earrings.

How to Unlock Red XIII's Silver Collar (Run Wild Rank 3 Guide)

Those looking for Run Wild tips and tricks have come to the right place, as this guide has everything needed to reach Rank 3. For starters, players should be aggressive with restarts, as these provide excellent opportunities to score some easy goals due to how slow the other teams are to move toward the ball. It's also a good idea to keep an eye on the score at all times and be aware of which teams need to concede in order to push the red team into first place. When trying to score against the yellow team or attacking a ball at the same time as another player, the lob shot can be incredibly useful, both for scoring and chipping the ball over opposition players.

Sometimes, it's better to walk rather than run as this makes it easier to line up a shot. Likewise, when trying to get behind the ball to prepare for a shot, players should go a little further past the ball than they need to, as this will provide them with a bit more space to come onto the ball and line up their shot perfectly.

In addition to the above Run Wild tips, players should be aware of two key mechanics: Running Wild and Taking a Breather. The former sees opposition players become more aggressive, while the latter causes rival players to move a lot more slowly, or not at all. Players should play more defensively when another team is Running Wild and be more aggressive when a rival team is Taking a Breather. On the subject of offense versus defense, players should be aggressive in the opening sixty seconds while there is only one ball as this is a great time to take a commanding lead. After that, it's best to sit back and defend, while still making sure to keep an eye out for openings. The best advice, though, is to never give up, as it's possible to concede three goals and still unlock the Silver Collar for Red XIII.

When an opposition player is attacking your goal, it's best to rush straight toward the ball to close down the angle, being sure to jump if they decide to try a lob shot.
