O Chicken, Where Art Thou is a side quest that can be found in the Gongaga Region, which players will gain access to in chapter 9 ofFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The Gongaga Region is rather confusing, and the lack of a Chocobo in the early stages makes it even trickier.

How To Start O Chicken, Where Art Thou In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

To begin the O Chicken, Where Art Thou side quest, players need to go to the Community Noticeboard and accept the job. Then it's time to make your way towards the location marked on the map. After speaking to Kazhra, she will reveal that four of her chickens ran away, and she wants some help getting them. Pick the option to help her, after which you will receive the food clanger to lure the chickens back home.

As the side quest begins, Red XIII will ask Cloud to follow him, as his superior nose will help them sniff out the chickens. The first chicken is not far from Kazhra's location, so follow Red XIII and then use the food clanger to lure the chicken back home.

The second chicken managed to run away a bit further, but the path is straightforward, making it hard to miss the bird. Besides the increase in distance, this chicken can also get distracted. Whenever a "?" appears over the chicken's head, slow down until it changes back to "!". If players keep tugging on the food clanger when the "?" is above its head, the chicken will lose interest and go back.

The third chicken is also inside the village, and Red XIII will lead you to it. There is another new mechanic at play during this particular encounter. Sometimes "..." symbol will appear over the chicken's head. This means the chicken is going to charge toward the food clanger. The trick is to pull the clanger when the chicken is just about to hit.

The final chicken is outside the village, so follow Red XIII to its location. After you lure it a bit away from the grass, an enemy will appear. Fight and beat the foe, after which the chicken will talk to Red XIII and tell him that it's heading back.

O Chicken, Where Art Thou Rewards

Players should fast travel to the village and talk to Kazhra. She will thank you and unexpectedly cook one of her chickens. For completing the O Chicken, Where Art Thou side quest, players will receive the following rewards:
