Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth provides players with unprecedented levels of freedom; allowing them to explore almost every inch of its open-world-style areas almost as soon as they've arrived in them. There are a few exceptions, though, one of which comes during Chapter 4 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which sees players exploring the Junon Region.

Once they've managed to wrangle the Junon Region Chocobo, they'll be able to complete almost all of Chadley's World Intel objectives without ever having to enter the Under Junon area and advance the main story. Sadly, however, some objectives are locked away in an area called the Crow's Nest, which players won't be able to access right away.

If players attempt to enter the Crow's Nest before unlocking it, they'll be turned away by a man at the gate. This is unfortunate, as one of the Divine Sanctuaries needed to fully upgrade the Phoenix Materia is locked away in this area. The good news is that players can unlock the Crow's Nest fairly easily, though doing so will require quite a bit of main story progression.

To unlock the Crow's Nest, players will need to complete the When Words Won't Do side quest, which becomes available on the Under Junon bulletin board after players have met up with Yuffie for the first time. To complete the quest, they'll simply need to escort a dog to the Crow's Nest, dealing with any monsters that they run into along the way. It's a fairly long journey, but aside from the last group of monsters, players shouldn't have too much trouble arriving in one piece.

What's Inside The Crow's Nest?

In addition to the aforementioned Divine Sanctuary, the Crow's Nest and the area beyond it are home to numerous points of interest, as well as a few new Queen's Blood matches. Unlocking the Crow's Nest also grants access to a few new side quests, allowing players to earn some quick Gil if they need to. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players hoping to fully complete the Junon Region will therefore have to visit the Crow's Nest at some point before finishing Chapter 4.
