Chocobos have often played an important role in Final Fantasy games, and this is once again the case in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. In the Grasslands area, players need to use a Yellow Chocobo to glide across the water in the marshlands and avoid the Midgar Zolom, but as they progress through the main story, they'll gain access to different types of Chocobos with unique and equally useful traversal abilities.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Burning Questions

Those hoping to learn more about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth have come to the right place, as we have answers to all the most frequently asked questions.

At the beginning of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's fourth chapter, players will find that they can no longer use their Chocobo whistle to summon Piko, meaning that they'll be traveling around on foot, to begin with. After a while, though, they'll get a chance to wrangle themselves a rare Black Chocobo, which they can then use to climb vertical walls in the Junon Region.

How to Get a Black Chocobo in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Junon Region Chocobo Location)

In order to climb vertical walls in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, players will need the help of a Black Chocobo called Belle. Belle can be wrangled as part of the Stuck in a Rut side quest, which is triggered by speaking with Gabe: the proprietor of the local Chocobo ranch. Gabe's Ranch is one of the first structures that players will come to as they make their way out of the Mythrill Mine, so it's fairly difficult to miss.

Triggering this Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth side quest will lead to the nearby Chocobo Intel spot being marked on the player's map, at which point, they should make their way over there post haste. Upon their arrival, they'll see a bunch of Chocobo surrounded by minecarts; the latter of which they'll be using to get to Belle without being seen. First, players should flick the switch on the nearest minecart and use it to get past the first Chocobo. They'll then want to flick the next switch that they come to in order to bring another minecart to their location.

Once behind this minecart, players should throw a rock at the switch that they pushed a moment ago and then follow the minecart around to a circular track. Here, they'll again need to throw a rock at a switch off in the distance, after which, they can follow the minecart all the way around the track to Belle. There are a few points where players will need to switch their position relative to the minecart, which can be tricky as the cart seems to pull Cloud toward it sometimes. The timings are fairly forgiving, though, so players shouldn't have too much trouble getting to Belle without being seen.

How to Climb Walls in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

In order to climb vertical walls in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, players will simply need to run toward them while riding Belle. Not all vertical walls are climbable, but it's pretty easy to tell which ones are thanks to the very obvious markings that are painted all over them. Being able to climb these walls grants access to a bunch of new areas and will therefore be vital for those hoping to complete every World Intel objective in the Junon Region.
