Escape from Endless Writer's Block is a side quest in the Gongaga Region, but it is unlocked only after players start the 12th chapter of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Players will have to travel to Costa del Sol with Cid and complete the conversation with him. This will unlock fast travel to all the places, making it much easier to travel to the different regions in the game.

Escape from Endless Writer's Block is a straightforward side quest, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players can complete it in next to no time, provided they manage to understand what kind of pictures Maeve wants.

How To Start Escape from Endless Writer's Block In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

To begin this side quest, simply head to the Community Noticeboard and accept the offer. Then make your way to the Tack Shop in Gongaga Village. You should see Maeve nearby. As you start talking to her, Maeve will reveal that she is in dire need of inspiration. Barret suggests that Red XIII might be able to help break the writer's block. Maeve will give Cloud a camera and ask her to take pictures.

Resolve Theme Picture Location

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Escape from Endless Writer's Block Resolve Location

The first theme that players will need to tackle is "Resolve". To find the location, fast travel to the north, which is the Gongaga shore. As you take a look around, you will see a camera icon appear above various places. The idea is to take a picture of Red XIII that symbolizes resolve. Players need to look around until they see a small hill with grass all over it. Press the Up button on the D-Pad to bring up the camera. Wait for Red XIII to get into the frame, and then zoom until you see 100% appear on the screen. Finally, take a picture.

If players take the wrong photo, a prompt will appear on the screen confirming that it doesn't meet the requirements.

Suffering Theme Picture Location

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Escape from Endless Writer's Block Suffering Location

The Suffering theme picture can be found near the Gongaga Region reactor. Simply fast travel to the reactor and walk a little to trigger a cutscene. Once it's over, turn the camera upward, and you should see an icon appear over the entrance. The rest of the steps are the same. Wait for Red XIII to pose, and take a picture with 100% accuracy.

Odyssey Theme Picture Location

The Odyssey theme is near the Gongaga airstrip. Head to the location marked on the map, and then take a look around until a big tower barges into view. Take out the camera and wait for Red XIII to pose.
