Before Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players can make their way to the Costa Del Sol's main attraction, they'll first need to complete one of two special mini-games to get their hands on a Companion Card for Cloud. This card can be exchanged for swimwear, which is required to go on the beach, so playing at least one of these Final Fantasy mini-games is a must. There's a shooting gallery-style game called Pirate's Rampage and a Queen's Blood-inspired puzzle game called Card Carnival.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: How to Upgrade Summon Materia

Just like in the original game, players can upgrade their Summons in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, although the method for doing so is very different.

Card Carnival requires Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players to solve a series of pre-determined puzzles by utilizing the abilities of their Queen's Blood cards and placing them in the correct positions on the board. They'll need to complete three of these puzzles to get the Companion Card for Cloud, all of which are relatively straightforward. Should they feel like continuing, though, there are a few more advanced puzzles that reward players with rare and unique Queen's Blood cards.

All Card Carnival Puzzle Solutions in Costa Del Sol

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Costa del Sol

Three-Card Stud Solution (Card Carnival Puzzle #1)

To complete the Three-Card Stud puzzle, players should place their Fleetwing card in the bottom right space, Zu in the top left, and Quetzalcoatl in the center. The reward for completing Three-Card Stud is Fleetwing (Card #023).

Go for Choco-Broke Solution (Card Carnival Puzzle #2)

To solve the Go for Choco-Broke Solution, players should place Fat Chocobo in the bottom left space and Posh Chocobo in the bottom right. They'll then be able to put their Chocobo & Moogle cards in between the other two cards, right beneath Magic Pot. The reward for completing Go for Choco-Broke is Posh Chocobo (Card #109).

Mischief-Making Moogles Solution (Card Carnival Puzzle #3)

When solving Mischief-Making Moogles, players should begin by placing their Fleetwing card in the spot on the right. They'll then want to place Moogle Trio directly to the left of it to open up new spots above and below where they placed Fleetwing. They can then put Moogle Mage below Fleetwing and Moogle Bard above Moogle Trio. Finally, they'll need to put the Grasslands Wolf card in the bottom left-hand corner of the board. The reward for completing Mischief-Making Moogles is Moogle Trio (Card #110).

Spears and Needles Solution (Card Carnival Puzzle #4)

To complete Spears and Needles, players should start by putting their Cactuar card in the central spot and then place one of their Spearhawk cards directly beneath it. Next, they'll want to put the other Spearhawk card to the right of the first one before finishing the puzzle off by placing Quetzalcoatl in the spot below it. The reward for completing Spears and Needles is Spearhawk (Card #031).

Sea Devil by Night Solution (Card Carnival Puzzle #5)

Those hoping to solve the Sea Devil by Night puzzle will need to make use of the Sea Devil card's ability, which raises the card's power by one each time a new card is played. Players will need to combine this with Mandragora Minion's ability, which adds another copy of Mandragora Minion to the player's hand every time one is played. To set things up, players should place Security Officer in the middle spot on the bottom row and then put their two Sea Devil cards in the spots above and to the left of it. From there, they'll want to place a Mandragora Minion in the center spot on the left column and then repeatedly burn any subsequent Mandragora Minion cards by placing them in either of the two remaining spots until they finally stop respawning. The reward for completing Sea Devil by Night is Seadevil (Card #032).

A Kingly Clash Solution (Card Carnival Puzzle #6)

The trick to solving the A Kingly Clash puzzle is using Tonberry King's ability, which raises the card's power by two each time an allied card is destroyed. Players should start by placing their two Zu cards above and below the blue Elphadunk card that's already on the board, which will allow them to place Tonberry King in the center spot. From there, it's a simple case of putting the two Deathwheel cards in the top left and top right spots and then placing Mindflayer in the spot between them. The reward for completing A Kingly Clash is Tonberry King (Card #035).

Power-Down Practice Solution (Card Carnival Puzzle #7)

To complete Power-Down Practice, players should start by putting one of their two Archdragon cards in the bottom spot and then placing the other one directly to the right of it. This will allow them to put Quetzalcoatl in the spot above the first Archdragon card, giving players enough points to complete the puzzle. Sadly, however, unlike all of the other Card Carnival puzzles, there is no reward for completing Power-Down Practice.

All Card Carnival Solutions (Chapter 12)

Upon reaching Chapter 12 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, players will unlock 15 additional Card Carnival puzzles. These ones are a lot more challenging than the ones found in Chapter 6, though the quality of the rewards that are on offer certainly reflects this, with players able to add quite a few Legendary Queen's Blood cards to their decks should they emerge victorious.
