Hustle and Grind is one of six side quests that take place in the Grasslands region of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. However, unlike the previous five, which can all be completed during the game's second chapter, players will need to wait until they reach Chapter 12 before they can accept the job.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: All Chapter 12 Side Quests (& How to Complete Them)

There are eleven side quests in Chapter 12 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, requiring players to return to each of the game's main open-world regions.

In terms of content, Hustle and Grind sees Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players interviewing for a position at former bandit Beck's new business and then taking care of a bunch of enemies on his behalf. Neither task is particularly difficult, though players may want some guidance when it comes to choosing the best Hustle and Grind interview answers.

How to Start the Hustle and Grind Side Quest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Players will be able to start the Hustle and Grind side quest by accepting it on the Community Noticeboard in Kalm after reaching Chapter 12 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. From there, they'll simply need to head down the steps opposite the noticeboard and take a left down one of the side streets, which will lead them straight to Beck and his gang of ne'er–do–wells. As those who completed all of the Grasslands Protorelic quests will already be aware, they've decided to go straight and set up their own business. In fact, it just so happens that they're currently looking for an apprentice who can do all of the work for them and are now accepting applications for the position.

How to Answer Beck's Interview Questions in Hustle and Grind

Whether they like it or not, players will find themselves interviewing for a job at Beck's Business and will need to answer three questions in order to support their application. Though the player's decisions will lead to some slight variations in the dialog during this section of the side quest, it doesn't matter which responses players choose as Cloud will end up getting hired regardless. For those wondering, though, a full list of Beck's questions can be found below.

  1. What is your full name?
  2. What is your employment history?
  3. What would you bring to the table?

How to Complete Hustle and Grind

After their candidacy has been approved, players will be tasked with defeating some fiends on an old highway just outside of town. Players should make their way to the area marked on their map and then take out the pack of Grassland Wolves, which are weak against Ice attacks. Doing so will trigger another cutscene in which a group of thugs shows up, after which, another battle ensues. Players should take out the two bandits using Fire attacks first and then focus their attention on the Devil Riders, which are weak against Lightning.

Hustle and Grind Rewards

Once all of the thugs have been defeated, Beck realizes that he prefers the outlaw lifestyle and decides to start his own biker gang. He and the rest of the bandits then ride off into the sunset together, leaving Cloud once again unemployed. It's not all bad, though, as players will receive a copy of the Sharpshooter's Companion Vol. VI, 10 Party EXP, 2,400 EXP, and an improved relationship with Barret as a reward for all of their hard work. The latter should end up proving particularly useful for those hoping to go on a Gold Saucer date with Barret later on.
