With combat being such an integral part of the experience in Final Fantasy 16, it is clear that Square Enix is not just contend with players being put through the wringer as just part of the story. In fact, much of the side content in the JRPG has combat as its main component, and the Notorious Marks that appear in the game are no exception.

Although it may be side and optional content, doing these bounty hunts can bring excellent rewards not just for XP and Ability Points, but also rare crafting materials that help Clive Rosfield obtain better equipment from crafting at the blacksmith. For players seeking some help when challenging the Ahriman Notorious Mark as part of the bounty hunt in Final Fantasy 16, this guide will definitely help.

How to Beat Ahriman in Final Fantasy 16

As with most challenging enemies in Final Fantasy 16, the key to beating Ahriman is being agile and mastering the right timing for parries and dodges. The creature has a few attacks to take note of:

  • At range, it will fire lightning balls that travel slowly, so they can be easily avoided.
  • A more dangerous attack is the use of its laser, so be sure to dodge when it approaches Clive.
  • Ahriman is always eager to teleport away when under attack, so always stay close to keep the pressure up with Eikonic Abilities or combos.

  • Be wary when Ahriman casts the spell Doom. Clive will not be able to avoid the spell being used on him; however, once the four orbs have dissipated and a large radius appear on the ground, move quickly out of the zone to avoid instant death.

Using Charged Magic is always going to help, and Phoenix Shift is an excellent way to close the distance towards this wily foe. Lunges and Shift Strikes will be every player's best friend in order to defeat this enemy.

Once Ahriman is brought down, players will obtain 5,000 Gil, 10 Renown, as well as Meteorite and Magicked Ash for crafting purposes.
