Final Fantasy 16 is set in Valisthea, a place affected by the Blight. It covers large parts of the world and leaves behind nothing but ash. In order to avoid the areas affected by the Blight, people had no option but to migrate to places that could still sustain life. Meanwhile, the rulers of different nations were busy fighting each other in hopes of taking away the good territories.

If destroying all forms of life wasn't bad enough, the Blight also forced different kinds of monsters to change territories. Initially, Final Fantasy 16 players might struggle to get rid of these malevolent creatures, but the job is made easy once they find the right weapons. As players progress through the story, they will find many powerful weapons that they must upgrade. To do so, they need different materials, and Clouded Eye is one of them.

Where to Find Clouded Eye

Clouded Eye is a rare resource that players will find during their adventures. The game describes the item as follows:

  • "To see the pattern on the surface of this spherical gem shift and twist, one would think a churning storm trapped within. Though it must surely be a trick of the light."

Players can obtain Clouded Eye during the "Headwind" story mission by defeating Suparna and Chirada. The two entities are no pushovers, but they won't pose a problem to Clive if he has good gear.

Other than that, Clouded Eye can be found in the Dragon's Aery area of Sanbreque. Players will need to defeat the Wind Elementals that spawn during the "Wings of Change" mission. This is the perfect opportunity to farm Clouded Eye, as there are many Wind Elementals present in the area.

Another way to acquire Clouded Eye is by completing certain Notorious Marks, namely Gizamaluk and Aruna. Aruna is a C-rank monster that can be found in Claireview, Sanbreque. Gizamaluk is an A-rank beast that can be found in Garnick, Waloed.

How to Use Clouded Eye

While the Clouded Eye is an uncommon material, it is not used for many things. The item is primarily required to craft the Bastard Sword, which has an attack and stagger of 120. Clouded Eye can also be used to reinforce the blade. Unfortunately, the weapon becomes outdated fairly quickly, so players won't be using it too often.

Final Fantasy 16 is exclusively available on PlayStation 5.
