During the "Righting Wrongs" main story mission of Final Fantasy 16, players will unlock a new feature known as Alliant Reports. These make it much easier for Clive and his friends to keep track of all of the currently available side quests in every explorable region, providing a list of every quest as well as their respective clients and rewards. At the same time, they'll also gain access to three new side quests, one of which is called "Welcoming Committee."

"Welcoming Committee" takes place in the Lostwing settlement and sees Final Fantasy 16 players helping some newly arrived Bearers to acclimatize to their new surroundings. Though the rewards for completing it are nothing to write home about and the quest itself is fairly straightforward, it does provide some additional insight into what life is really like for the Bearers of Valisthea.

To begin the "Welcoming Committee" side quest, players will need to make their way to Lostwing after unlocking Alliant Reports. Once there, they should look for a man named Alain, who explains that he has a couple of new Bearers who are having trouble accepting their new surroundings. He's hopeful that Clive might be able to help them to feel a bit more at home and offers up a small reward if he agrees to give it a go.

Assuming players accept, the first thing that they'll need to do is speak with the two Bearers. After assuring them that they'll be safe in Lostwing, Clive offers to fetch them some food from the nearby tavern, which is where players should head next. Initially, the Sobersided Shopkeeper doesn't prove to be particularly helpful, but after spotting the innkeeper's mark that players were given in the "The Dead of Night" main story mission, she'll soon change her tune and will allow Clive to take as much bread and wine as he needs.

From here, players simply need to pick up the bread and wine from the counter to the right of the woman and then return to the two Bearers. Needless to say, having become accustomed to being treated like plague rats, they're blown away by this act of kindness and start to believe that Lostwing might not be such a bad place to live after all. With hope now instilled in the two Bearers' hearts, the FF16 side quest will come to an end and players will receive a Gil Bug and 16 XP as a reward.

Final Fantasy 16 is available now exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
