Final Fantasy 16 is jam-packed with an array of unique side quests for Clive to pursue during his travels across Valisthea. More side quests become available the further players progress through the main story, so Clive will almost always be able to start a new one after completing one of the game's more lengthy sections.

Once players complete the Getting to Work sub-objective during Bolts from the Blue, they can begin The Weight of Command by interacting with Dorys, a red-haired woman who can be found standing on the wooden walkway just north of the Boarding Deck in The Hideaway.

Upon interacting with her, she will tell Clive that Cole's party of Cursebreakers has gone missing. Worried about what might have happened to them, she asks Clive to investigate.

Where To Find Cole's Party Of Cursebreakers

According to Dorys, Cole and his fellow Cursebreakers are currently somewhere in The Dragon's Aery. To begin the search for them, Clive should fast-travel to The Dragon's Aery Obelisk and head west toward The Holy Hand. Following the dirt path, players will spot Cole and his group of Cursebreakers to the left, just behind a tree.

Speaking with Cole, he will explain to Clive that, though he managed to rescue a few Bearers, some were left behind. He goes on to say that the remaining Bearers can be found to the south, prompting Clive to look for them.

Where To Find The Bearers

From Cole's position, Clive should head directly south until he stumbles upon a wrecked carriage surrounded by Goblins. According to Cole, the remaining Bearers are trapped inside the carriage, so Clive will need to deal with the nearby Goblins before they can be freed.

Upon approaching the carriage, three Level 28 Goblin Leechers and a Level 28 Gigas Bruiser will launch an attack. Defeating the Goblin Leechers is pretty straightforward, but the Gigas Bruiser can take a little more work. Most of this creature's attacks are slow and easy to predict, but its Big Swing move can be pretty unforgiving.

If Clive happens to be within the Gigas Bruiser's range when this attack begins, he will need to dodge multiple times to avoid getting struck by the creature's club; otherwise, he can back away until the attack ends. When the battle is won, Clive will receive a Bone Necklace and 12 Magicked Ash.

Once the two Bearers have been saved, Clive can return to The Hideaway and speak to Dorys, who can now be found at the top of the stairs leading to The Mess. After a brief conversation, she rewards Clive with 40 Sharp Fangs, 40 Steelsilk, and The Breath of Fire (Rising Flames)accessory, which, when equipped, reduces the cooldown time of the Rising Flame ability by two seconds.
