Where to Find Soul Stingers in Final Fantasy 16

The group known as the Soul Stingers will become available as a bounty hunt once players are in the main quest, Out of the Shadow. After talking to Nektar back at the hideaway, head to Dhalemkia and head to the far east portion of The Fields of Corava to locate them.

How to Beat Soul Stingers in Final Fantasy 16

The obvious difference when hunting down this Notorious Mark is that the Soul Stingers are not just a singular enemy, but a swarm of them. While such insect enemies are usually easily dispatched on their own, in this group, they present a unique threat that must be taken seriously:

  • The aerial nature of the Soul Stingers means it is much harder to beat them, especially as they can't be shot down using Charged Magic. To do damage, either use Deadly Embrace or Phoenix Shift to get close to attack and unleash a combo to bring them down instead.
  • The Soul Stingers are fond of ganging up on a combatant, and that presents a real danger. The special attack, Apipuncture, sees the whole group repeatedly attacking an area with their stingers. Move out of the area immediately and wait for the chance to counter.

  • A great way to deal with the Soul Stingers is to use AoE attacks. Eikonic Abilities like Flames of Rebirth and Earthen Fury can catch the entire group and deal heavy damage.

While the fight may appear intimidating at the start, it becomes much easier once the pattern of engagement is clear. Just be patient and try not to get stunlocked by repeated attacks, and the Soul Stingers should go down quickly.

By beating the group of Soul Stingers, the rewards are 460 XP, 40 Ability Points, 5500 Gil, and 10 Renown. Furthermore, players can obtain 50 Sharp Fang, 50 Bloody Hide, and 10 Magicked Ash for crafting purposes.

Final Fantasy 16 is exclusively available for PlayStation 5.
