There are plenty of side quests that can be picked up around the hideaway in Final Fantasy 16. Not all of them are worth the player's time though, with many simply sending players on pointless errands to further pad out the game's already lengthy runtime. "Please Sir, Can I Have Some Morbol" is one of the exceptions, as not only does it provide players with an enjoyable boss fight, but also an agreeable reward.

Those who take the time to complete the side quest will improve consumable potency, bringing it up to the maximum amount. This should prove useful for those who plan on taking on some of the more difficult boss fights in Final Fantasy 16, particularly if they happen to be playing the game on Final Fantasy mode. As a result, the "Please Sir, Can I Have Some Morbol" side quest is well-worth completing.

Like the "Blacksmith's Blues III" side quest, "Please Sir, Can I Have Some Morbol" first becomes available once players have completed the "Like Father, Like Daughter" sub-quest of the "A Song of Hope" main story mission. To trigger it, players will need to make their way down to the hideaway's gardens and speak with Nigel, the head botanist. He'll ask Clive to retrieve a Morbol Tendril and point them in the direction of the hunt board.

Speaking with Nektar at the hunt board will reveal details of a monstrous Morbol named Carrot, which has been running amock in the Whispering Waters area of Three Reeds. Players should fast travel to the Three Reeds Obelisk and then hug the wall to their right until they arrive at their destination. As with other Morbol fights in Final Fantasy 16, the trick to beating Carrot is to steer clear of its mouth, while also being ready to dodge whenever it uses Wild Rage or Burrow.

After beating Carrot, players will receive the Morbol Tendril that Nigel asked for as well as a Morbol Flower and some other bits and bobs. They can then return to the Hideaway and speak with Nigel again to turn in the quest, which will reward them with a Goblin Coin, 1,200 XP, and 45 Renown. Players will also get the Invigorared Morganbeard Extract, which, like the regular Morganbeard Extract from the "The Root of the Problem" side quest, will increase the potency of certain consumables.

Final Fantasy 16 is available now exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
