After completing Final Fantasy 16's Make Do and Mend and Food for Thought side quests, players will need to progress through the main story until they gain access to more of the game's optional missions. Clive will gain access to these quests when he returns to The Hideaway during the Hunter and the Hunted main quest and can pursue them both by interacting with each of the quest-givers.

To begin Final Fantasy 16's Moving Heaven and Earth side quest, Clive must head north from the Grand Hall until he reaches The Furrows. Here, he can speak with Bohumil, Chief Botanist, who will explain that his assistant has gone in search of soil but has yet to return. Worried about what might have happened, he asks Clive to look for her.

Upon accepting the Moving Heaven and Earth side quest, players should open the world map and fast-travel to Orabelle Downs, just northeast of the Hideaway. When Clive spawns in, he can cross the bridge in front of him and proceed to the right to reach the next quest marker. He will hear a scream as he approaches the marker, informing players that danger is nearby.

Clive prepares to fight Vine Spinners in Final Fantasy 16

When Clive reaches the source of the scream, he will be forced to fight three Level 19 Vine Spinners, large spider-like creatures; though these enemies might look quite intimidating, they are pretty easy to deal with so long as players have been optimizing Clive's gear. Once two of these Vine Spinners have been defeated, two more will appear and replace them; when Clive has dealt with them, he will receive 2 Valley Madders and 4 Sharp Fangs.

How To Find All Vineyard Soil Samples

During the cutscene that follows, Bohumil's assistant, Martelle, will thank Clive for getting rid of the Vine Spinners. Though she wishes to stay and collect soil, Clive will insist that she returns to the Hideaway, leaving him to collect the soil in her stead.

Turning north and entering the field, three green quest markers will appear on the ground. These markers only appear when Clive is close to them, so it might take some repositioning to make them appear. Collecting the soil requires Clive to stand directly beside each of the quest makers; holding the X button down will then allow him to gather a sample.

When Clive has collected the three Vineyard Soil Samples, he should turn to face southwest and walk forward into the other field. Here, the fourth and final soil sample can be found just a few steps behind the fence.
