Final Fantasy 16 is one of Square Enix's most ambitious projects. Clive Rosfield is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy 16, and naturally, he is at the center of things. Originally, Clive was the First Shield, but due to unforeseen circumstances, he ended up with a group of assassins. At the very beginning of the game, it becomes evident that Clive has ample skill, which he must use to take down powerful enemies. While taking control of Clive, players will come across numerous weapons that will aid them in their adventure.

How to Equip Weapons

When players start their journey in Final Fantasy 16, they will find that Clive already has a sword, which he carries on his back. The sword is called Rosarian Oath, and it has an Attack stat of 55. Using the sword, players can dish out consistent damage to their opponents.

But as the story goes on, the enemies grow stronger, and it will take more effort to defeat them. One of the easier ways to ensure that Clive doesn't struggle against his foes is by equipping him with more powerful weapons. In order to access the menu, players will have to press the pause button on the controller, which will bring up the Items tab by default. Next, players will have to press the R2 button twice to access the Gear & Eikon tab and move the cursor to the sign displayed in the image.

Then, players have to press the X button to open the weapons list; they can see the stats of all the weapons and compare which one suits them best. In the weapons list, players can also read the description of the weapon. Once they have made their choice, they can simply move the cursor over the desired weapon and press the X button again to equip it. After returning to the game, Clive should have the new weapon. In the event that players want to add other gear, the procedure is almost the same.

Players have to pause the game, scroll to the Gear & Eikon tab, and then choose whether they want to equip a new Belt, Vambrose, or Accessories. Alternatively, they can scroll through the different gear lists by pressing the L1 or the R1 button.

Players should keep a close watch on Clive's accessories as they provide some rather useful abilities.

After selecting the gear, players can resume the game and enjoy vanquishing their enemies.

Final Fantasy 16 will release on June 22, 2023, for PlayStation 5.
