How To Beat Bomb King In Final Fantasy 16

While Clive will certainly have fought the smaller Bombs before, the Bomb King presents a whole other challenge, even if its attacks remain easily avoidable. Keep these tips in mind when trying to eliminate this Notorious Mark:

  • At range, the Bomb King will shoot out fire projectiles that shouldn't pose a problem to seasoned players by now. Just avoid them or use Heatwave to punish the enemy.
  • Close up, the Bomb King uses its impressive body to smash or lunge at Clive. Catch the timing and sidestep for a chance to counterattack.
  • When the enemy uses Coronation, this will see the Bomb King be surrounded by swirling fire, before shooting out a fireball. Get some distance from the foe, and avoid the projectile. As its health gets lower, the Bomb King will unleash several fireballs with this attack.

  • The most dangerous move the Bomb King can use is Witan, which summons more and more Bombs to join the fight. If they are not taken care of, they will self-destruct, causing massive damage. Either use powerful AoE attacks, or start moving once their countdowns have started.

By focusing on the Bomb King and not giving it the time to unleash Witan over and over again, players will be able to taste victory with some effort. Defeating the Bomb King will reward players with 1150 XP, 65 Ability Points, 9000 Gil, and 20 Renown. The Bomb Ember it drops will also come in handy for crafting.

Now pick up the Bomb Ash left in the arena, and return to Owain for a a Treated Potion Satchel and one Black Blood, the former increases the number of potions Clive can carry.
