Like many of the other side quests in Final Fantasy 16, completing "Blacksmith's Blues III" is relatively straightforward, with players simply needing to speak to a few people and then slay a beast or two, It's well worth the effort though, not least because it brings players one step closer to the end of the questline and one of the most powerful swords in the entire game.

The "Blacksmith's Blues III" side quest first becomes available during the "A Song of Hope" main story mission immediately after players have completed the "Like Father, Like Daughter" sub-quest. To trigger it, they'll need to speak with August, who can be found on one of the upper decks of the Hideaway not too far from the hunt board. After speaking with him, players should head on over to Blackthorne at the forge to find out what's wrong.

Next, players will need to find a man named Zoltan, who can be found in a small settlement called Dravozd, which is where Blackthorne was originally from. If players have already activated the Dravozd Obelisk they can make their way straight there. If not, they should instead fast travel to the Tabor Obelisk and then follow the Gilded Path west until they arrive at the gates of Dravozd. At this point, Blackthorne shows up and Clive and Co will be able to head inside.

Zoltan will tell Clive to leave, but after seeing how much his people are struggling with their forges, Blackthorne will suggest sharing the secret of Cid's bellows with them. To do so, he'll need a Salamander Skin, so players should head out to the quest marker in the Fields of Corava area and bring an end to the beast. It's a relatively simple fight, particularly for those who have mastered the dodge mechanic in Final Fantasy 16.

Upon their return to Dravozd, Final Fantasy 16 players will need to sit through a few conversations and cutscenes, after which, Zoltan will ask Clive to pass on his Pit-coal Cinder to Blackthorne as a way of saying thanks. Returning to the hideaway and doing so will complete the "Blacksmith's Blues III" side quest, with players receiving 900 XP, 100 Bloody Hides, 35 Renown, and the Ouroboros Design Draft as a reward for their hard work.

How to Craft the Ouroboros and The Sons of Ouroboros

The Ouroboros and The Sons of Ouroboros are the best Belt and Vambraces in Final Fantasy 16 respectively, making this one of the better side quest rewards in the entire game. Unfortunately, however, players won't be able to craft their new gear right away, as as well as the draft, they'll need a few key items that can only be obtained from hunts, some of which aren't available at this point in the story.
