The life of a Valisthean Bearer is far from easy. This much is made clear very early on in Final Fantasy 16, but it's not until players arrive on the outskirts of Moore during the "Righting Wrongs" main story mission that they'll start to understand the full extent of the Bearers' plight. Those who explore the area a little will find two somewhat shocking side quests, one of which is called "All Bark."

At first, "All Bark" seems like a run-of-the-mill Final Fantasy 16 side quest, with players tasked with rescuing a young boy from a ravenous wolf. However, after Clive springs into action, it soon becomes clear that there's much more to this situation than first meets the eye and that the young boy and his father are not at all what they seem.

How to Complete All Bark in Final Fantasy 16

Final Fantasy 16 players will be able to trigger the "All Bark" side mission by speaking with a man named Benoit. Benoit can be found near a small wooden house a little to the west of Moore, the small settlement that players will need to visit as part of the "The Dame" subquest of the "Righting Wrongs" main story mission. He'll explain that his son is being attacked by a ravenous wolf and demand that Clive rescues him before it's too late.

After accepting the mission, players should head west a little until they come across the boy and the wolf. As they approach, they'll be tasked with slaying the wolf, but doing so only seems to anger the boy rather than evoke feelings of gratitude. It's only then that Clive notices the growing pile of mangled Bearers nearby, who, as it turns out, were tricked into 'saving' the child so that he and his father could watch them be torn apart by the rabid wolf.

Following a brief conversation, the boy will run back to his father, who is annoyed to learn that Clive somehow managed to survive his encounter with the wolf. He'll demand to know who Clive belongs to, at which point, players will be able to choose between the Dame and themselves. If they choose the Dame, Benoit will change his tone a little, but, ultimately, the outcome will be the same whichever option players choose: the father and son will vow to buy a bigger hound and Clive will walk away in disgust.

At this point, players will need to return to the dead Bearers, as, due to Clive's righteousness and sense of justice, he wants to give them a proper burial. Upon doing so, one of the locals will come over to help, and, as he and Clive talk, players will hear the boy and his father getting a much-deserved taste of their own medicine. The quest will then come to an end and Clive will receive 22 XP, 150 Ability Points, and 30 Magicked Ash as a reward.
