With Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker bringing with it two new jobs, the Reaper (RPR) and the Sage (SGE) – both starting at level 70 – it is perhaps more important than ever for players to know of a quick and effective way to bridge the level gap that divides them from Endwalker's content. Getting one's levels through duty roulettes is a valid choice in Final Fantasy 14, but the bonus experience rewards – while inarguably enormous – are limited to just once per day. This is where the Bozjan Southern Front comes in.

What The Bozjan Southern Front Is And How To Unlock It

The Bozjan Southern Front is an alternative means of leveling characters' combat jobs in Final Fantasy 14. By design, it is an instanced zone made for 72 players, filled with a neverending stream of FATEs and duties that eligible participants can queue for. Each of these events built into the Bozjan Southern Front yields a significant amount of experience. The system itself is neatly gated through Ranks, which the players progress in by obtaining mettle, the zone's currency.

To unlock the Bozjan Southern Front, players must first complete the alliance raid questline in Final Fantasy 14: Stormblood. Namely, the three "Return to Ivalice" raid instances: The Royal City of Rabanastre, The Ridorana Lighthouse, and The Orbonne Monastery. In addition, players must also progress through their Shadowbringer's main story scenario quests up to "Old Enemies, New Threats" which signifies the start of 5.2 content.

Provided the player has yet to unlock Gangos, the hub of the Bozjan Resistance, then they must also complete a short questline that starts in Kugane with "Hail to the Queen" by speaking to Keiten in the Kogane Dori markets.

With all these prerequisites met, the player can then finally undertake "Where Eagles Nest" from Marsak that unlocks access to the Bozjan Southern Front, as well as its main aetheryte at the zone's starting point. Continuing this questline further also provides the players with an opportunity to craft the level 80 relic weapons, introduced in the patch content of Shadowbringers, for their combat job of choice.

The Bozjan Southern Front locks the level of the players to 80, even if they're below it, and uses the player's Rank as an alternate means of power progression unique to Bozja. Whatever experience they earn is gained in the job they have entered the zone as. Doing duties and FATEs in the Bozjan Southern Front also earns mettle for the players, which allows them to increase their Rank and unlock access to more of the zone – and, as a result, higher-ranked duties and FATEs.

Bozja is best enjoyed in smaller or moderate dozes, as its perpetual availability can cause players to experience being burned out.

Final Fantasy 14 is currently available on PC, PS4, and PS5.
