One Punch Man is a popular action series that is filled with many powerful characters who can potentially destroy multiple cities at once. Most of these characters possess immense physical strength, making it almost impossible to defeat them in a battle.

When these characters face each other, even the smallest mistake can prove to be fatal, which is why they train their reflexes and speed to block any openings. Over the course of the series, many One Punch Man characters have demonstrated their immense speed in fights. Like the disparity in their strengths, there is also a difference between the speeds when it comes to the fastest One Punch Man characters.

8 Sonic

Speed-o-Sound Sonic is one of the few recurring villains in One Punch Man. He is a talented individual whose power has been compared to that of S-rank heroes by Fubuki. He used to be a member of the 44th Graduation, the same as Flashy Flash.

Sonic displayed his ridiculous speed multiple times in the story. He was able to dodge all the attacks of the Deep Sea King and was confident that he could have killed the monster if he'd had a weapon. Sonic's speed transcends that of sound, and it is plausible to assume that he has gotten even quicker. Sadly, he has been away from the action for a long time, but hopefully, he will return soon.

7 Genos

Saitama vs Genos

When he was first introduced, Genos was mainly being pushed around by the strong monsters. He didn't lose heart though, and after being upgraded by Dr. Kuseno, he could take down the Deep Sea King in just two hits, which was a massive improvement considering he had been beaten badly in his previous encounter.

The upgrades not only increased his firepower but also increased his durability and speed. Genos was easily able to keep up with Sonic, which means he's at least faster than the speed of sound.

6 Tatsumaki

Tatsumaki in One Punch Man

Tatsumaki may not be the first name that springs to mind, but she is easily one of the fastest characters in One Punch Man. She mainly relies on her psychic power to fight her opponents, so she doesn't have to show off her other abilities. However, when the need arose, she proved that her agility was as good as other characters who are known for their speed.

Tatsumaki can cover great distances in a short period of time by amplifying her speed with the help of psychokinesis powers. During her fight with Psykos-Orochi, Tatsumaki was able to dodge one of their attacks, which sliced through the earth's surface in seconds.

5 Flashy Flash

One Punch Man's Flashy Flash wielding a sword

Flashy Flash is an extremely agile fighter who ranks 13th among all S-rank heroes. He is proud of his speed, and given his feats in the series, it makes sense. Flashy Flash's speed is his biggest asset, and he uses it to end fights in an instant. He is also a calculating person, only attacking his opponents after he has figured out some kind of strategy.

Flashy Flash managed to fight against two Dragon-level threats at the same time and still came out on top, which is rather impressive, to say the least. Sadly, however, there are several characters who are capable of blitzing Flashy Flash in a fight.

4 Blast

Blast from One Punch Man

Blast is the number 1 S-rank hero and one of the greatest fighters in the entire series. For the most part, Blast spends his time away from the action, but in the Monster Association arc, he finally decided to show himself to stop Garou and Saitama from eradicating the whole planet.

Blast fought against Cosmic Mode Garou for a while, and he was able to keep him at bay without showing any signs of fatigue. He also managed to catch Flashy Flash off-guard, which is a big achievement considering the latter is renowned for his speed.

3 Garou

Garou in One Punch Man

Garou is better known as the Hero Hunter, having terrorized the entire Hero Association. He used to be a student of Bang but decided to turn heel and started to hunt down pro heroes. As a student of Bang, Garou has great mastery over the different types of martial arts.

Garou is able to evolve in fights, which gives him the upper hand. After receiving power from God, Garou could potentially destroy the world. Along with his destructive power, Garou's pace also reached new heights, which made it impossible to hit him.

2 Boros

Boros from One Punch Man

Boros was an extraterrestrial who had destroyed many planets before he finally arrived on Earth. He was a feared warrior who had the same existential crisis as Saitama. Even after traveling to multiple planets, Boros was unable to find a warrior strong enough to take him down.

He turned his attention to Earth after coming across a prophecy about a powerful fighter residing on the planet. Boros had a ridiculous amount of power, and after unleashing all of it, he could vaporize anything in his path. Boros' speed was impressive too, as he was able to keep up with Saitama for a while.

1 Saitama

Saitama is the main protagonist of One Punch Man. Based on looks alone, Saitama may seem like an ordinary person who couldn't hurt even an ant, but as the saying goes, "looks can be deceiving," and this applies to Saitama more than anyone else. He is by far the most powerful character in the series and arguably the strongest anime character of all time.

While signing up for the Hero Association, Saitama broke all records during the physical exams. He is mainly known for his freakish strength, but Saitama's speed is just as impressive. Saitama has managed to outspeed the likes of Garou, Flashy Flash, and Boros with ease. He is also able to cover great distances in mere seconds and leave afterimages behind.
