Fast X star Sung Kang, who plays Han, weighed in on the possibility of seeing Gal Gadot's character Gisele return to the Fast and Furious franchise, despite the character's death.

Han is also supposed to be dead, specifically in Fast and Furious 6's mid-credits scene. But, he was brought back into the fold starting with 2021's F9, and Fast X even looks to pair him with the man who tried to kill him: Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw.

The sixth entry may be one of the Fast and Furious franchise's most purely enjoyable installments. However, it still killed off franchise-favorite character Gisele Yashar, played by Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot. With that said, the viewer doesn't witness Gisele's death, as when she sacrifices herself for Han Lue, she more or less falls back into darkness. During an interview with ComicBook, Kang didn't rule out Gadot's return to the franchise. "Why can't she? I would. Who doesn't? Who doesn't want a load of Gal Gadot in their life?" Kang asked.

Gal Gadot Fast And Furious 10

Regarding the actor's availability, the last DCEU film Gadot appeared in was the Pedro Pascal-starring Wonder Woman 1984, which was met with mixed reviews by both fans and critics. The few overtly kind remarks were pointed toward the special effects and Gadot's performance. Yet, Gadot's future in the Universe looks uncertain. New DCU showrunners James Gunn and Peter Safran are returning to square one for the Universe. With that, there doesn't seem to be a place for Gadot, just as there didn't end up being one for Henry Cavill after the failure of Black Adam.

So, will Gadot be a part of the swiftly impending Fast X? Maybe, but the safe money is on its follow-up, if at all. X is the first of two chapters set to close out the Fast and Furious franchise, and if the Fast X trailer is any indication, the filmmakers are pulling out all the stops. This includes bringing back a slew of characters, most notably Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner in what appears to be stock footage from Fast Five's big heist.

Gadot would probably return to the family, too, given that there was no reported acrimony on her end like there was on the sets of Dwayne Johnson's installments. At the very least, she might want to fly out to set if only to drive some of the Fast and Furious franchise's expensive sports cars. It all comes down to what dialogue has been written for Gadot and whether her arc in the 10th (or 11th) installment would feel organic to the character.

Fast X is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 19, 2023.
