How To Get The MBP .50 In Far Cry 6
There are 3 primary methods of obtaining the MBP .50, each with its own set of pros and cons. These strategies include:
Method 1
This one still requires the player to work through main missions and progress through Far Cry 6's story mode. There is also a possibility that the FND cache may contain something entirely different.
- Complete the main mission, Blood Ties.
- Gain access to the Paradise Lost Mission from Clara.
- Dani now has to plant three explosives; there is an FND cache opposite the second explosives checkpoint.
- This FND cache should contain the MBP .50 sniper rifle.
Method 2
The streets of Esperanza are filled with snipers on rooftops there is a very good chance that one of these snipers will drop the MBP.50. While this method may seem like it's the easiest, it isn't. Taking out many of the enemies in this area will require Dani to be around Rank 10.
Method 3
The most reliable but expensive method to obtain the MBP.50 sniper rifle is by building a Guerrilla Garrison at one of the main base camps in Far Cry 6.

- Approach the store with the green hammer symbol above it and choose the Guerrilla Garrison for 60 Metal and 60 Gasoline.
- Ensure the Guerrilla Garrison is upgraded to a Level 2 for 140 Metal and 140 Gasoline.
- The MBP.50 Sniper Rifle is now available from the storeman at the Guerrilla Garrison. The rifle can be purchased for 3850 Pesos.
This is by far the most reliable way to obtain the rifle. However, the player needs to make sure it's equipped with the best scopes, silencer, and bullet upgrades for the gun to reach its full potential.

The Best Unique Rifle In Far Cry 6
For players that don't want the complications and time that come with fully upgrading the MBP. 50 sniper rifle, the next best thing would be the El Tirano. The El Tirano is a unique sniper rifle based on the MBP. 50 and comes with premade stats and settings that can't be modified or adjusted. While some players will see that as a drawback, others will prefer the convenience of using a pre-built rifle that is one of the most powerful weapons in Far Cry 6 and will remain one of Dani's best weapons in the game until the end.
Another advantage that comes with obtaining the El Tirano is that it won't cost a small fortune trying to purchase and then fully upgrade the Guerrilla Camps as it's free. This unique rifle is powerful and a good choice for players that prefer to use a stealthy approach but don't mind keeping a fast pace.
Finding The El Tirano
- The El Tirano is located at the Escila Fort in Vestosa Peninsula, Barial in Vall de Oro.
- Dani will need to reach the top of the lighthouse that is found in the northern area of the fort.
- Players can skydive into the top of the lighthouse, which is the easiest method, or stealthily fight their way through the enemy-occupied fort.
- Use the grapple point to reach the base of the lighthouse.
- Then climb the two ladders.
- Use the grapplehook to reach the top of the green tower.
- Use the last grapple point to reach the room and head inside.
- Open the crocodile chest to obtain the El Tirano.
The El Tirano comes pre-equipped with the following modifications:
- Armor-Piercing Rounds
- A Small Advanced Scope
- A Large Muzzle Break
- An Extended Magazine
- The Fresh Clip ability
It's more powerful than an unmodified MBP. 50 with improvements to its range, accuracy, and a larger magazine. However, despite having better stealth stats than MBP. 50, it cannot be equipped with a silencer. This means that firing this weapon will reveal Dani's location unless he or she stays on the move.
