Far Cry 6 is out, and despite its adherence to the Ubisoft formula, the game has a lot of content and offers a ton of freedom for its players. The sixth installment pits the main character Dani Rojas against the dictator of Yara, in hopes to be able to save the island from the claws of an oppressive military dictatorship. There are tons of gameplay features and mechanics to discover, such as camps and their facilities.
The camps play an important role in Far Cry 6. The first camp will become available when reaching one of the main Guerrilla bases in Yara. These camps not only help the Libertad win the war against Castillo’s forces to overthrow him as the dictator but will greatly enhance the player’s Far Cry 6 experience in the process.
Updated on November 27, 2021, by Michael Llewelyn: Far Cry 6 has been out for several weeks, and thanks to its excellent gunplay and flexible upgrade options, fans are still running around causing chaos on the Isle of Yara. Thanks to its recent DLC update returning players of Far Cry 3 will get a chance to play as fan-favorite villain Vaas in his own missions.
Bringing in fans of the third game is a great way for the series to reclaim its audience, as Far Cry 6 is arguably the best entry since the third game. For players looking to jump in gain the best opportunities for Dani, they will need to invest some time and money in the Guerrilla Camps. With that in mind, this article has been updated to include information on the Guerilla Garrison, a vital aspect of these camps.
Guerilla Camp Facilities In Far Cry 6
The main Guerrilla Camps in Far Cry 6 are where the other rebels fighting to free the Island of Yara are hiding. It's Dani's job to unite other rebels with the Libertad and fight back against Castillo. There are three main Guerrilla Camps to unlock in the game, and they will become available when exploring Yara and meeting certain criteria in Far Cry 6.
Camp Name | Location | Requirement |
---|---|---|
Montero Farm | Madrugada | Meet The Monteros |
Camp Maximas | Valle de Oro | Meet Maximas Matanzas |
Patriota's Peak | El Este | Meet The Legends |
Accessing The Camps
Once Dani has reached one of the main Guerrilla Camps on Yara, the base will have several options available for the player. The first thing one should do is make their way to the green hammer symbol at the camp to speak to the Foreman. This will unlock several Camp Facility options for the player to choose from.
Camp Facilities
Camp Facility | Price To Unlock | Reward |
---|---|---|
Bandidos Barracks | 40 Medicine, 40 Metal | Bandidos missions, Bandidos recruitment, and outfits customization |
Fishing Hut | 40 Medicine, 40 Gasolina | New gear and fishing Locations |
Guerrilla Garrison | 60 Metal, 60 Gasolina | Unlocks laptops to scout FND bases. Better armory for the Guerrillas |
Hideout Network | 30 Metal, 30 Gasolina | New Fast Travel Locations and the Wingsuit |
Hunter's Lodge | 40 Medicine, 40 Metal | Rare animal hunting spot locations, mods, and gear for easier hunting |
La Cantina | 60 Metal, 60 Gasolina | Unlocks the cantina to cook special meals to provide boosts in combat |
Facilities To Unlock First
Hideout Network
The first Camp Facility Dani should unlock is the Hideout Network. This is by far the most useful facility to unlock because it gives the player access to several Fast Travel locations across Yara's expansive map. This literally opens up the entire map for Dani to explore and take on missions at their own pace no matter how challenging. It also unlocks the Wingsuit for Dani.
Bandidos Barracks
The second camp that players should unlock is the Bandidos Barracks. This is the equivalent of sending Assassins on missions in the Assassin's Creed series. Dani would enlist the help of Bandidos to take on the Los Bandidos Missions. It's a great way to collect unique and non-unique weapons and armor and fill Dani's inventory.
The Guerrilla Garrison
Next, players should prioritize unlocking the Guerrilla Garrison, which is one of the best methods to unlock weapons. With the other two facilities maxed out at the first Guerrilla base, the player will need to make their way to one o the other camps to purchase the Garrison from the Construction Desk.
When the Garrison is first unlocked, Dani will only be able to purchase basic and low-rated weapons. Additionally, Dani will get some vanguards to join him in firefights throughout Yara. The Guerrillas will also place Recon Laptops in enemy FND bases that will reveal and tag traps, cameras, and turrets for Dani. However, its true worth is found when the player fully upgrades the Garrison to reliably obtain advanced and specialist weapons like the best sniper rifle in the game and rocket launchers.
The Guerrilla Garrison features two upgrades the Enhanced Guerrilla Garrison and the Protected Guerilla Garrison. These upgrades provide the following benefits for Dani when talking to the merchant:
Enhanced Guerrilla Garrison | Protected Guerilla Garrison |
---|---|
Advanced Weapons | Specialist Weapons |
Support from Guerrilla Snipers | Support from Guerrilla Rocketeers |
Better trained Guerrilla fighters | Even better trained Guerrilla to face the FND’s Special Forces |
Advanced Recon Laptops that tag high-value targets | Specialist Recon Laptops that tag Security Control Centers |
With a fully upgraded Guerrilla Garrison Dani will have access to a better arsenal and more support on the ground. The support Guerrillas will come in especially handy when getting into some tight scrapes with some of Yara's special forces.
Other Facilities
With the Hideouts and Barracks unlocked the other facilities aren't as much of a priority and are there for the sake of trophy hunting, collecting items, cooking special foods, hunting, or upgrading the Guerillas. So the importance of the facilities is relative to what the individual enjoys most.
Far Cry 6 is available now for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
