This month, Nintendo will be announcing the next character to take to the stage in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. However, some fans believe that they know who the new DLC fighter is going to be and have gone to Twitter to assert their claims.

Since the theory that the new ARMS fighter would be Spring Man was shot down, fans have been speculating on who the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character could be. While Nintendo hasn't been giving out any hints, fans continue to scour the list of eligible candidates. From that cast of characters, one name has risen above the others in fans' eyes.

According to the many fan speculations posted recently on Twitter, Twinbelle may be the new DLC fighter. One of the ARMS cast of fighters, she has been loved by its fans since she was first revealed. She is unique to her game because she punches with her magical hair, not her arms. She also has exciting skills that would be great to see on a Smash fighter, like the ability to slow down time which is similar to Bayonetta's Witch Time. With her great aerial maneuverability and string punches, she would be a prime candidate to welcome to the Smash team.

Many fans have taken to Twitter to add their voices to this discussion and give their support to Twinbelle. Many of them have pointed out the lack of Black characters in the current cast of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighters, as only variants of Inkling and Villager can be Black. With the current political climate being what it is, Nintendo may see her as a good way to include more diversity in their game. Fans also call out her unique set of abilities and how they are looking forward to seeing her skills in the Smash arena.

While Nintendo hasn't confirmed these theories to be true, fans are hoping that they will see these dreams become a reality when the new fighter in announced later this month. Whether or not Twinbelle actually is a new addition to the Smash cast, she is a strong and well-loved character that would be great to fight with in the arena.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
