Amazon Prime Video has released the first image from its much-awaited Fallout series, an adaptation of the popular game franchise.

The Fallout TV series will premiere on April 12, 2024. Prime Video posted a teaser video on X announcing the official release date for the series. The 24-second-long video shows a Pip-Boy starting up and revealing the release date, 04.12.24. Additionally, the clip may have given away the first episode's title. Before the release date appears, some other information shows up that includes “HOLOTAPE FOUND: 101_The End.” This seemingly indicates that the title of episode 1 will be "The End." Underneath that is another Easter egg that says, “LOAD ROM(1): K1LT3R_PV_33.” This references Kilter Films, the production studio behind the series.

Considering only one “holotape” was mentioned in the clip, the Fallout TV series will probably premiere with only one episode and then have another episode released each week, like most series on Amazon Prime. However, this is not confirmed, and with several release dates shifting around due to the ongoing actors' strike, they could decide to premiere the first two or three episodes for scheduling reasons. Fans will likely have to wait before subsequent episodes receive a release schedule.

Fallout fans have been excited about this series, so it is great to finally get an update on when it will be released. The Fallout series will tell an original story set in Los Angeles and Vault 33 within the Fallout universe. This is different from recent video game adaptations like The Last of Us.

The 2023 Gamescom Fallout TV series trailer recently leaked online, which has impressed fans with amazing visuals that stay faithful to the source material. Now that fans have an official release date, they must wait for an official trailer.

The Fallout TV series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 12, 2024.
