How to Increase Happiness in Fallout Shelter

Stats in Fallout Shelter

All the Dwellers in Fallout Shelter can have slightly different Happiness levels. It doesn't affect them individually, but affects the Vault population's overall Happiness level. Luckily, in Fallout Shelter there are quite a few ways you can increase Dwellers' Happiness:

  • Monitor their health. Your Shelter must always have enough water, food, and power. Additionally, if Dwellers are sick give them Stimpaks or RadAway.
  • Assign them to suitable jobs. When Dwellers are working in a room where their highest SPECIAL stat is needed, they will be Happy.
  • From time to time, the level of Happiness may decrease for no reason. In this case, it is better to assign such Dwellers to training rooms.
  • Build a Radio Studio, and send there the character with the highest Charisma. This will affect the Happiness level of all Dwellers in Fallout Shelter.
  • Successful rushes can also increase Happiness, but only for Dwellers in the current room of your Vault.
  • The last and most effective way to increase Happiness is mating. Allow Dwellers of different genders to spend time together in the living room. As a result, they will both significantly increase their level of Happiness. If they have a baby, they will increase Happiness to the maximum.

Each Dweller has three levels of Happiness:

  • Green: Your Dweller is happy.
  • Yellow: Your Dweller is doing okay, but could be happier.
  • Red: Your Dweller is sad, cheer them up.
