In Fallout Shelter, there are a variety of different threats and enemies that you will encounter during the progression and development of your Vault. Among these threats, Radscorpions are among the most dangerous encounters to possibly show up during your day-to-day Vault life and adventures in the Wasteland through quests. For this reason, knowing how to defeat them will come in handy during your playthrough.

How to Beat Radscorpions in Fallout Shelter
In Fallout Shelter, a Radscorpion attack is the most dangerous threat to your Vault and Dwellers. This is because Radscorpions dish out both big amounts of physical damage, as well as radiation damage that will drain up to half of your Vault's maximum power.
While Radscorpion attacks within your Vault are the most deadly, you can also encounter them while wandering out and about completing quests. However, unlock the Radscorpions that invade your Vault; variants of the species that you encounter on quests will not deal radiation damage on top of the physical damage unless they are a green, glowing Radscorpion.
Radscorpion attacks will begin to occur randomly after your Vault reaches 50 Dwellers and above, or 35 Dwellers and above if you are playing in Survival Mode. There is no way to avoid Radscorpion attacks altogether unless you main your Vault with Dwellers under these numbers. As Radscoprpions attack your Vault, your Dwellers will automatically respond to the attack and fight back, so there are a couple of precautions you can take to ensure they survive these encounters and keep thriving as your Vault continues to progress and develop.
Firstly, Radscorpions don't enter through your Vault Door, so once an attack occurs, you can move any Dwellers that you wish to keep safe to this room, as they will not participate in the encounter in any way. The only other option for increasing your chances of surviving Radscorpion attacks is by seeking out powerful weapons and assigning them to as many Dwellers in your Vault as possible. It's a good idea to have at least one Dweller equipped with a weapon in each room at the bare minimum, and all Dwellers when possible, as without weapons, they will be restricted to using their fists in combat and easily overpowered.
