How to Get The Alien Blaster in Fallout: New Vegas
In order to have the required encounter to acquire the Alien Blater, players must have the Wild Wasteland trait on their character. This is one of the optional traits you can select at the beginning of the game, and will trigger some incredibly wacky and strange encounters as you journey through the wasteland. These encounters will come in the form of unique characters, easter eggs, and references. You can also gain this trait later by using the Sink Auto-Doc in the Old World Blues DLC.
Where To Find The Alien Blaster in Fallout: New Vegas
The encounter with the aliens is located far to the northwest of New Vegas. Head up past Westside and follow the highway. The Horowitz Farmstead is a small farm on the right side of the highway. There may be a few raiders camping there.
Continue north past the farmstead, and you will eventually see the crashed alien craft resting on the top of a cliff. You may even catch it spawning on the cliff, depending on the platform you're playing on. The Wild Wasteland symbol should appear on the top of your screen along with some strange music.
Three aliens will be standing around the Mercenary Camp. They are all equipped with Tri-Beam Laser Rifles and can quickly cut you down if you're not careful. The Alien Captain has the Alien Blaster in his inventory. Kill him and loot it from his body. If you're stealthy, you can sneak and kill the Alien Captain, leaving the other two aliens as friendly NPCs.
The Alien Captain will have around 140-250 Alien Power Cells in his inventory. This is the only ammo you will receive for the Alien Blaster in the entire game. Conserve these Alien Power Cells for the end of the game or for fighting the deadliest enemies in the Mojave Wasteland.
