Fallout: London is gearing up to be possibly the largest Fallout 4 mod ever released. While DLC-sized Fallout mods are nothing new, this upcoming project presents the first full-sized total conversion mod for Bethesda’s 2015 hit.

As the title suggests, Fallout: London takes players across the pond to a post-nuclear England. The mod team released an official reveal trailer on Tuesday, showing their take on a never before seen and rarely talked about part of the Fallout universe.

As reported by PCgamesN, the map is as large as the Commonwealth in vanilla Fallout 4. It will let players explore a compressed version of Britain’s largest metropolis. Much like how official Fallout games parody 50s Americana, the creators of Fallout: London plan to do the same with England. The team specifically mentioned wanting to explore how the Fallout universe’s Resource Wars interacted with British class structure. The jump to a new setting also means iconic Fallout staples like Vaults and Nuka Cola likely won’t make much of an appearance.

The recent trailer begins with a throwback to the opening of Fallout 3, which also served as that game’s official teaser in 2007. The Fallout: London trailer opens inside a dilapidated double-decker bus, its radio hauntingly playing Vera Lynn’s "We’ll Meet Again" as the camera pulls back to reveal the devastated cityscape. The song doubles as a reference to the final scene of Stanley Kubrick’s dark comedy Dr. Strangelove, and its association with the Cold War and nuclear Armageddon make it a perfect fit for a new Fallout.

After that highly effective opening, the trailer gives a brief overview of London’s situation. Much like everywhere else a Fallout game takes place, London is a battleground for multiple warring factions. The British government is barely holding out behind the fortified walls of Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament. However, their force of halberd wielding Palace guards aren’t the only group staking a claim.

Players probably shouldn’t expect to see any Super Mutants or Brotherhood Paladins running around the British Isles. However, fans of their chivalric trappings might enjoy the Camelot Knights, who fight mutants with medieval weapons and armor. There’s also an army of WW1-inspired soldiers dug in inside London’s Lambeth district. There's also a fascistic organization called the Fifth Column, and a group of impoverished residents knows as the Last Vagabonds. Not to mention the mysterious mutants dwelling in the London Underground.

Fallout: London is still a work in progress with no set release date. However, the trailer shows a lot of work has already gone into the ambitious mod. Given the sparse information on the Fallout universe outside the US, Fallout: London offers a fantastic opportunity to explore an entirely new landmass.
