For anyone interested in providing their voice to a video game, the team behind the upcoming Fallout 4 mod Fallout: London has put out a call for voice actors. As a beloved post-apocalyptic franchise, the fourth entry in the long-running RPG franchise received high praise when it was released back in 2015. Although some who remember the original isomeric titles from the late 90s feel the newer games have lost touch with some of the series' roots, the modern iterations by Bethesda have propelled the games into the AAA sphere.

For those who aren't aware, Fallout: London is a hugely ambitious mod for the main game which will see a new story take place in England's capital city, as the name suggests. With events occurring between the first and second Fallout entries, in the year 2237, players will get to experience a post-nuclear wasteland outside of the US, with new factions across a breadth of London's main boroughs. Although no exact release date has been given, the developer believes the mod will be ready sometime in 2023.

However, until then, the team is still hard at work and is currently on the lookout for additional talent. As spotted by PCGamesN, there's a chance for voice actors to lend their skills to the ambitious Fallout 4 mod. Given the setting of the project, the casting call is asking for a variety of UK voices, though it doesn't necessarily say actors need to be from the UK as such, just that they can affect a regional accent. Participants will need to record the specified lines of dialogue, though some ad-libbing is allowed. Potential applicants are free to apply through Google Docs, and recording will take place between April and October of this year.

Over the years, Fallout 4 has seen plenty of great mods, but London is looking to be one of the largest that sees the light of day. While there are currently no plans to release the project for consoles, PC players will at least get to experience it as and when it comes out, so long as they have the main game and all the official DLC installed.

As a series, Fallout is known for its many vaults, which often border on experimental, its rich open worlds with plenty of NPCs to interact with, and often dark satirical take on society. With Bethesda confirming that Fallout 5 is on the way, though it's going to be years until it gets released, fans will no doubt be excited to see where things go from here.

Fallout 4 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions in development.
