The Wendigo Colossus is a new creature that has come to Fallout 76 as part of the Wastelanders update, and many players will certainly want to square off against this powerful foe. However, before they can do that fans will first need know the Wendigo Colossus' location in Fallout 76, and this guide will provide exactly that.

As indicated by the Wastelanders patch notes, Fallout 76's Wendigo Colossus can appear in "areas hit by atomic fire," and indeed fans will be using nukes to spawn this new enemy. Specifically, the Wendigo Colossus in FO76 can be found if a nuke has been dropped on the location of an Assault-type random encounter, which are those where NPCs fight one another. Assault encounters can be found all over Fallout 76's map, but there are two locations in particular that are ideal for spawning the Wendigo Colossus.

These two location were originally shared by Reddit user rynlnk, and one is found directly north of the Monorail Elevator and the other is directly west of the Federal Disposal Field HZ-21 on Fallout 76's map. Both of these locations are in the Savage Divide South, and they are good because a single nuke can hit two Assault encounters at once. This makes it even easier to find FO76's Wendigo Colossus, and here is a map for visual reference:

Once a player has hit one of these locations with a nuke in Fallout 76, they should then check it to see if a Wendigo Colossus has spawned at one of the light blue marks on the map above. If no Wendigo Colossus is present, fans should clear out all of the enemies and head to the other light blue mark. If the creature is not there, they can dispatch the foes and head back to the first blue mark, repeating this process until the Wendigo Colossus is found.

To note, it takes around five minutes for respawns to occur in these locations, which means that players on the hunt for the Wendigo Colossus in Fallout 76 may need to exercise a bit of patience. However, those that do will eventually come across this "terrifying monstrosity," and then they will just need to figure out which FO76 weapon to use to take it down.

Fallout 76 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
