The download size for PC through Bethesda.net is 1.6 GB, 9.1 GB through the Microsoft Store, and 2.2 GB for PC through Steam. The download size for Xbox platforms is 9.1 GB, and 9.2 GB on PlayStation platforms. According to the patch notes, the new bug fixes for Fallout 76 are organized into several sections, including Art, C.A.M.P. S. & Workshops, Challenges, Combat, Enemies, Events & Quests, and more. Some sections of the game have multiple issues, while others only had one or two issues that were fixed in the update.

The sections with one or two issues to fix include Art, Challenges, Combat, Enemies, Fallout Worlds, Localization, NPCs, and Performance & Stability. The update resolves the art issue concerning the Silver Shroud Tesla Rifle paint that can be applied to the Charging Shotgun Barrel mod. It fixes the issue in Challenges by reducing the requirements for the “Complete Different Daily Quests” World Challenge from 23 to 22. The update also fixes the issues for Combat and NPCs, such as players no longer receiving a black screen when they use melee VATS attacks in third-person, and allies in the game don't appear with their weapon drawn after leaving combat.

The sections with the larger number of issues the update fixes include C.A.M.P.s & Workshops, Events & Quests, Items, Sound, and the User Interface section. Some issues fixed for C.A.M.P.s & Workshops include several structure issues, such as players correctly placing Blueprints containing the Charleston Fire Station. The update resolved issues for certain items in Fallout 76, like fixing the Thorn Armor's bleed effect, and the Captain Cosmos Helmet can now prevent damage and disease by airborne hazards. It also addressed issues with a couple of exploits in the game and covers several issues for the User Interface that concern the Photo mode, Scoreboard, and Settings.
