There are lots of weekend events that pop up in Fallout 76. One of those events is called Legendary Vendor Sales. While active, players will get a 25% discount on all of Purveyor Murmrgh's legendary items, with the exception of Vault Steel Scrap and Legendary Modules.

These weekend sales are very popular as they give players a little extra chance of getting something decent. While there's no way to guarantee getting a good weapon or armor piece, the discount allows players to get more items, increasing the chances of getting something good. There are also a few things that players can do to make the most out of Legendary Sale weekends.

This guide explains the best methods for farming Scrip in the latest season of Fallout 76.

Grind Expeditions

Head On Plenty Of Expeditions

Players who are interested in purchasing as many legendary items as possible will need lots of Scrip. Players can hold a maximum of 6000 Scrip per character. Those who don't have lots of legendary items to hand in at Legendary Exchange Machines can easily pick up lots of Scrip items by completing expeditions.

Specifically, A Most Sensational game is an Atlantic City expedition that can be completed in under 10 minutes. Upon completing the expedition, provided that you do all of the extra objectives, you'll be awarded 6 random legendary items of varying value. You can also get some extra Scrip and Legendary Modules each time you complete the expedition.

Complete Daily Ops

While not as beneficial as completing expeditions, Daily Operations are still a great way to stock up on legendary items and extra Scrip. The mission will change slightly each day, but the overall concept remains the same: complete the mission in 8 minutes or less to receive the best rewards.

While the rewards will vary each time you complete a Daily Operation, you will get a couple of legendary items that you can turn in for Scrip. You also have a chance to get some extra Scrip for completing the Daily Operation. Much like expeditions, Daily Ops can be completed as many times as you like. However, you will only get one set of rare rewards each day. However, the rare rewards usually consist of a plan and do not really affect legendary items.

Complete Public Events

Keep An Eye Out For Certain Events

There are lots of events that award players legendary items. But, the best one by far for getting legendary items is Eviction Notice. While this can be a fairly difficult event to complete, players can receive upwards of 20 legendary items during this event. Usually, when this event pops up, most players will join it. Just be sure to bring Power Armor or a hazmat suit to avoid the radiation should the Power Scrubber break during the event.

Other notable events that are worth doing for legendary items are:

  • A Colossal Problem
  • Hoard Events
  • Radiation Rumble
  • Scorched Earth

That said, most events have the chance to award players at least one legendary item, so it may be worth server-hopping and grinding events to stock up on legendary items.

As a side note, there are also a couple of Daily Quests that can be worth doing to get a little extra Scrip. Quests like Cop A Squatter and Heart of The Enemy award players with 8 Scrip upon completion. While this isn't a lot, it can give players enough of a boost to squeeze one more purchase out of the Purveyor during her Legendary Vendor Sale.

Spread Items Across Several Characters

Have A Few Spare Characters At The Ready

Dropped Loot in Fallout 76

Players can have up to five characters per account. This can be handy for farming large amounts of Scrip. Most players will struggle to maintain their stash weight. Since each character can only hand in up to 500 Scrip worth of legendary items per day, any excess items they have will start to weigh down their stash box.

Because of this, it's always handy to have a couple of spare characters. That way, you can transfer all of your excess weapons and armor pieces to your other characters and use them as mules. Then, each day, simply hand in some of those extra weapons and armor pieces to get the 500 Scrip on each of your mule characters.

By doing this, you'll have several characters that can buy legendary items during the Purveyor's sale. Just be sure to get your mule characters to level 50 in order to receive legendary items that are at the maximum possible level. Getting a mule to level 50 can be done very quickly by attending high-level events while on a team.
