A practical non-Power Armor suit, the Secret Service Armor is a protective covering used by former Secret Service agents in Fallout 76. At max, it grants 250 Physical, 220 Electrical, and 220 Radiation resistance. But combined with a matching Underarmor, it gets even better stats.

The only downside to this armor set is that it’s Gold Bullion-exclusive, meaning there’s only one way to obtain it: purchasing the plans from a vendor. Here’s everything Fallout 76 players should know about getting the Secret Service Armor.

After completing the Wastelanders questline, go to Vault 79 and purchase the Secret Service Armor plans from Regs for 5,900 Gold Bullion. Then head to the nearest Armor Workbench and craft all six pieces. If cost is a concern, ditch the Secret Service Helmet and purchase only Arms, Legs, and the Torso.

Lucky players may also get Secret Service Armor pieces in random enemy drops. However, that only happens after learning the plans and reaching Level 40.

To farm Gold Bullion , stack Treasury Notes by completing Daily Ops and purchase weekly 300 Bullion from Smiley at the Wayward.

How to Craft the Secret Service Armor

Players will need the following materials to craft the Secret Service Armor:

  • Leather
  • Plastic
  • Steel
  • Rubber
  • Adhesive
  • Circuitry
  • Ballistic fiber

Additionally, the Secret Service Armor requires six Legendary Modules to craft; one module per piece. Collect at least 300 Scrips and buy the modules from Purveyor Murmrgh at the Rusty Pick. Then head to an Armor Workbench and craft the primary pieces — Arms, Legs, Torso. (The helmet is optional.)

How to Re-Roll a Secret Service Armor’s Legendary Effects

With the Steel Reign update, Fallout 76 players can now change the Secret Service Armor’s Legendary Effects. For that, they must go to an Armor Workbench, open the modify tab, and pay Legendary Cores and Legendary Modules to re-roll the Effects.

An alternative method is selling the piece of Armor at a Legendary Exchange machine and reinvesting the earned modules and Scrips in re-crafting. Since the Secret Service Armor pieces come with random Legendary Effects, players get new perks per craft — and they can repeat it until the RNG favors them.

How to Get the Secret Service Underarmor

Like the armor itself, the Secret Service Underarmor is a purchasable item available at Vault 76 or random locations where Minerva spawns. The underarmor’s plan costs 250 Gold Bullion, and each of its pieces has a random Legendary attribute. But it performs best when upgraded with the Shielded Lining mod.

How to Get the Mods for the Secret Service Armor

The Secret Service mods are offered by Gold-Bullion vendors. To get the plans, visit Regs at Vault 79 or Minerva at her spawns. But note that this Armor’s mods are pretty expensive, and players are better off without most of them. The best options are the Jetpack, Buttressed, and Cushioned Legs. With the Jetpack mod, players get jet-assisted jump boots. Buttressed mods (for chest, arms, and legs) reduce the received damage. Cushioned Legs prevents fall damage.

Fallout 76 is available now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
