A Fallout 76 player has recently created a character with an uncanny similarity to the legendary movie actor Nicolas Cage. Fallout 76 is an RPG with impressive customization options, and this player pushed the character creation system to its limit to make this perfect Nic Cage lookalike.

Fallout 76 is a controversial entry in a beloved franchise. The post-apocalyptic multiplayer online RPG was released by Bethesda back in 2018, and it faced a pretty rocky reception at launch. Not only were some fans of the series were not eager to see the franchise becoming a live-service multiplayer experience, but Fallout 76 also struggled with performance issues. Over time, however, the game was improved in several ways and found its user base.

Between cut and upcoming content, Fallout 76 features several Vault-Tec Vaults, some of which have a lasting impact on the franchise’s lore.

Now, a player called Maverick_Hiro unveiled their new Fallout 76 character, which is based on Nicolas Cage. Unlike many recreations which often miss the mark, Maverick_Hiro’s character can be easily recognizable as Nic Cage, and was specifically based on his character Cameron Poe, which appears in the action movie Con Air. The Fallout 76 player even used a famous quote from the character in the post: “Put the bunny back in the box.” The post was pretty popular, and it managed to gain over 2,700 upvotes in r/gaming.

Nicolas Cage As a Fallout 76 Character

This is not the first time a player uses Fallout 76 to recreate an iconic character, though. Last year, a player made Saul Goodman in Fallout 76. While this attempt was not as perfect as Maverick_Hiro’s accurate version of Nicolas Cage, it still greatly resembled the fictional character played by Bob Odenkirk in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Despite being an older game, Fallout 4 is also often used to recreate famous personalities from movies and TV. Some time ago, for instance, a player created Arnold Schwarzenegger as a Fallout 4 character for their first Survival playthrough. According to the gamer, he was inspired by the Terminator movies and believed Schwarzenegger was a good fit for their most hardcore playthrough yet. Fallout 4 even has mods that allow player characters to use Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice, allowing for an even more perfect representation of the Terminator.

Unfortunately, the next mainline installment in the franchise, Fallout 5, is probably several years away. However, it is likely that Fallout 5’s character creation will be completely different from previous games in the franchise, considering the expected time gap between the releases, which may allow gamers to make even more realistic characters.
