If you're trying to run into Skyline Valley's strangest encounters in Fallout 76, this guide has you covered.

How To Start Neurological Warfare

Launch A Nuke

There are four events in Fallout 76 that can only be activated by launching a nuke over specific regions: Scorched Earth, A Colossal Problem, Seismic Activity, and Neurological Warfare. To start Neurological Warfare, you'll need to drop a nuke anywhere inside the Skyline Valley region.

While launching a nuke can be difficult, there are ways to make it much easier. One of the easiest ways to launch a nuke is to wear Power Armor and equip the legendary perk Electric Absorption. By doing this, you'll take very little damage from enemy robots in the area, allowing you to stroll through missile silos with relative ease.

How To Complete Neurological Warfare

Take On Storm Goliaths

Storm Goliath in Fallout 76

After launching a nuke over the Skyline Valley region, Neurological Warfare will automatically start. While this event is recommended for higher-level players, low-level players shouldn't be put off. Even those who are fresh out of the vault should join the event. They aren't going to be much help, but it's a great event for getting a few legendary weapons and earning XP.

The event is fairly straightforward. See the guide below for details:

  • Fast travel to the Event
  • Wait for the doors to open
  • Wait for the Fabrication process to be completed
  • Take down 3 Storm Goliaths named Morta, Decima, and Nona

You'll need to take down the Storm Goliaths within 25 minutes to complete the event. Usually, just like other nuked events, lots of players will join the event, so it doesn't normally take long to complete. Also, Storm Goliaths are prone to Gamma Gun damage. It's possible to take down a Storm Goliath using only a standard Gamma Gun.

During the event, Robobrains and Lost enemies will also pop up and attack players. While they aren't really much of a threat to experienced players, new players may struggle to take them down. If you are struggling to kill them, just hop onto one of the nearby structures, and they'll hit you much less often.

The only other thing that's worth noting about Storm Goliaths is that when one is destroyed, the others get stronger. However, even with boosted strength, they aren't too difficult to take down, provided the player has a decent weapon and plenty of ammo.
